With Lock Between Rim And Wheel Body Patents (Class 301/11.2)
  • Patent number: 11802585
Abstract: An anti-tampering device includes a housing with a bolt channel and a lock channel. The lock channel is aligned with, intersects and is perpendicular to the bolt channel. A head of a bolt and a portion of a shank of a bolt is received in the bolt channel. A lock received in the lock channel extends into the bolt channel, in proximity to the shank of the bolt, when the lock is in a locked position. The portion of the lock extending into the bolt channel prevents removal of the head of the bolt from the bolt channel.

  • Patent number: 10751595
Abstract: The invention relates to an accessory for securing points d?arrêt on fencing épées, comprising a screw for securing the point d?arrêt which is located on the tip of a fencing épée, in order to close the circuit of the electric touch-detection device with which said swords are equipped. The invention includes a screw-coupling tool, characterised in that the screw includes a central axially-extending through-hole having a hexagonal or any other prism-shaped configuration, while the actuation end of the tool includes a first cylindrical or frustoconical segment so that it can be easily fitted to the hole in the screw. In addition, a collar is provided half-way along the length or height of the screw, which serves as an end-stop element.

Abstract: A wheel assembly includes a wheel base and a side rim disposed about the wheel base. A recess is formed on an inside surface of the side rim. A cavity is disposed between the wheel base and the side rim. An air seal is disposed between the wheel base and the side rim. A locking mechanism secures the side rim in position around the wheel base. The locking mechanism is configured to prevent the air seal from disengaging with the inside surface and allowing air to exit the wheel assembly between the wheel base and the side rim when the locking mechanism is properly installed. The locking mechanism is also configured to permit the air seal to disengage the inside surface and allow air to exit the wheel assembly between the wheel base and the side rim when the locking mechanism is not properly installed.

  • Patent number: 7726370
Abstract: A vehicle wheel with a wheel rim and a solid tire positioned on the wheel rim. The vehicle wheel has an annular upper shell having a first wedge-shaped surface and composed of at least two upper segments. Further, the vehicle wheel includes an annular lower shell composed of lower segments and having an outer circumference having a second wedge-shaped surface. Moreover, the second wedge-shaped surface is structured and arranged in a diametrically opposed manner to the first wedge-shaped surface. Additionally, the annular lower shell is arranged on the rim, the annular lower shell is arranged against the annular upper shell, and the annular upper shell is connected to the solid tire.

  • Patent number: 6763865
Abstract: A wheel (1) includes three parts: an outer rim (2), an inner rim (3), and a disc (4) joined by coach screws or stud bolts (18) directly screwed into the thickness of a wall (10) of the inner rim (3). The outer rim (2) is made from stamped light alloy plate, while the other parts are obtained by casting or other process. A portion of the outer rim (2) is compressed between the disc (4) and a portion of the inner rim (3).

  • Publication number: 20040021365
Abstract: A lightweight but strong two-piece wheel has an outer annular rim with a separate center section secured therein by separate fasteners which are hidden from view when the wheel is in use. The preferred fasteners are threaded bolts extended through openings in the rim and into pre-tapped holes in the center section, but bolt and nut assemblies or rivets may be used in alternate embodiments. The annular rim and center section preferably are made of lightweight materials, including aluminum and plastic. The construction enables the center section to be fastened to the rim in different axial positions within the rim, and permits inexpensive substitution of different center section designs in a common rim design. The process of making the wheel includes heat shrinking the rim onto the center section in a desired axially adjusted position and then applying the fasteners to secure the rim and center section together.

  • Publication number: 20030160501
Abstract: An assembly (10) for location around a wheel rim (32) comprises an annular support band (12) being formed of a relatively inextensible material. The support band (12) is split at at least one circumferential location to define a pair of opposed ends (16, 18). Adjustment means (24, 26, 28) are operably connected to said opposed ends (16, 18) for enabling adjustment of the diameter of the support band (12), and spacing means (14) depend from the radially inner face (34) of the support band (12). The spacing means (14) is formed from a relatively non-compressible material and, in use, is seated upon the wheel rim (32) to maintain the support band (12) in a spaced apart relationship with the wheel rim (32). The assembly may be adapted for use as a runflat assembly or as a beadlock assembly.
