Abstract: A rim assembly includes a rim having multiple positioning portions extending from the inner periphery thereof and each positioning portion has a space defined therein. Each positioning portion further has an open side. Multiple spoke units each have the first end engaged with the space via the open side and are rotatable relative to the positioning portion. The second end of each spoke unit is connected with the hub. Each spoke unit has a securing member and positioning member which is mounted to the securing member. The securing member is connected with one end of a spoke and the positioning member positions the securing member and the spoke in the space. The spoke units are easily and quickly assembled with the positioning portions at the inner periphery of the rim.

Abstract: A bicycle rim structure comprises a rim body, a hub, a plurality of spokes for fastening the hub and the rim body, and a plurality of adhesives. The spokes in assembling slots of the rim body and assembling grooves of the hub are enclosed by the adhesive. Therefore, the spoke is tightly connected in the assembling slot and assembling groove after the adhesive is solidified. Moreover, the weight of the bicycle rim body is reduced because there are no bolts and nuts, or other assemblies in the bicycle rim structure.

Abstract: A vehicle wheel, including an outer rim, a central hub with a central axle and an outer flange, a plurality of spokes extending between the rim and hub, a bracing element connected to one of the spokes, and a clamping element connected to the bracing element. The spokes have a span portion between the rim and hub. The spoke has a tensile axis of applied tensile load along the span portion, a sidewall surface, and a longitudinal axis along its length. The bracing element includes a portion of one of the rim and hub. The spoke is anchored to the clamping element in a clamped connection where the clamping element is clamped to one of the spokes by a clamping force. At least one of a first portion and a second portion of one of the spokes is joined to the clamping element by a deformed engagement.

Abstract: A bicycle wheel includes a central hub and a rim including multiple openings positioned about the circumference of a radially inner surface of the rim. A rivet nut or similar attachment element is positioned in each opening and coupled to the rim. A first end of a nipple or similar coupling element is threaded into or otherwise attached to each rivet nut. A first end of a spoke is threaded into or otherwise attached to a second end of each nipple. A second end of the spoke is coupled to or engaged with the central hub. Each nipple optionally includes left-hand external threads and right-hand internal threads, or right-hand external threads and left-hand internal threads, such that rotation of the nipple simultaneously tightens or loosens the nipple with respect to both the rivet nut and the spoke.
