Abstract: A wheel comprising a rim portion and a centre portion for supporting the rim portion, wherein the rim portion is adapted to allow attachment of the centre portion to the rim at a selected position of a plurality of available positions. In one arrangement the available positions are disposed in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the wheel. There is also provided the rim and the centre portion and a method for constructing the wheel.
Abstract: The application discloses a wheel assembly comprising a wheel comprising a main body, a substantially cylindrical wall, a front hub face comprising a central portion connecting a hub to an outer rim, wherein the front hub face comprises a socket for receiving a removable weight, wherein the socket or the weight is configured with a stop for preventing the weight from dislodging from the socket; a back face comprising a back central portion connecting the hub to the back outer rim; and the wheel assembly comprising at least one fastener for securing the weigh in the socket on the main body of the wheel.
Abstract: A dual non-inflatable wheel assembly for trucks for providing a tire which cannot be punctured and lasts longer than tires filled with air. The dual non-inflatable wheel assembly for trucks includes a hub assembly including a hub member and further including a boss being centrally disposed upon the hub member; and also includes a wheel rim member being fastened to the hub assembly; and further includes pieces of solid material being made of rubber and being attached about the hub assembly and the wheel rim member; and also includes retaining rings being fastened to the hub assembly and to the wheel rim member for retaining the pieces of solid material about the hub member and the wheel rim member.
Abstract: A wheel rim includes two centripetal flanges respectively centripetally formed on an inner and an outer portion of a drop-center portion of the wheel rim having different displacements of the two centripetal flanges respectively deviated from a longitudinal center plane centrally defined between an inner rim flange and an outer rim flange of the wheel rim, with the longitudinal center plane being projectively perpendicular to a central axle axis of the wheel rim, thereby simultaneously satisfying two types of cars, one having a larger off-set and the other having a smaller off-set of each wheel disk as respectively deviated from the longitudinal center plane of each wheel rim.
Abstract: An adjustable rim assembly 10 is provided for the wheel of a tractor or other industrial vehicle for changing the spacing of the opposed wheels of the vehicle. The mounting rail 20 is rigidly connected to the inwardly facing surface 22 of the rim base 12. Mounting rail 20 is formed in an accordion-like shape which forms a series of alternately axially spaced fore and aft planar mounting panels 24, 26, and mounting clamps 40 connect between the surfaces of the mounting panels and the opposed faces of the wheel disc 54. Various spacing of the wheel rim is achieved by changing the faces of the mounting panels 24, 26 to which the mounting clamps are connected.
