Detail Patents (Class 303/22.8)
  • Patent number: 11801724
Abstract: An air supply device control system may include a sensor configured to detect a trailer to be provided in an eco-friendly commercial vehicle, an air supply device configured to compress and supply air, and a controller electrically connected to the air supply device and configured to control rotation speed of the air supply device to control the air of the air supply device, wherein the controller increases the rotation speed of the air supply device based on whether the trailer is provided in the eco-friendly commercial vehicle, which is detected by the sensor.

  • Patent number: 8226174
Abstract: A rail vehicle brake system includes an electric controlled pneumatic brake valve having a controller and includes an empty-load device connecting the brake valve to a brake device. An electro-pneumatic lock-out valve is controlled by the controller and has a first position which allows the proportioning of the inlet pressure to the outlet by the empty-load device and a lock-out position which pneumatically prevents the proportioning of the inlet pressure to the outlet by the empty-load device. Also, the system may include a sensor for sensing the vehicle load; and the controller controls the brake valve in response to the sensed load taking into account the operation of the change over valve of the empty-load device. Also, an empty-load device including a load sensor is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7556322
Abstract: A release graduating proportioning valve for a rail car brake system having a brake pipe, a brake cylinder, and a load sensor valve which selectively connects the control volume to the brake cylinder. The release graduating proportioning valve has a proportioning piston movable between a first position at which a control volume is isolated from atmosphere to a second position at which the control volume is connected to atmosphere, to enable graduated release of brake cylinder pressure. A port to atmosphere is provided in the valve body, and the port is connected to, or isolated from, the control volume responsive to movement of the proportioning piston.

  • Patent number: 6863354
Abstract: In a hydraulic brake pressure control device of a load responsive type, a housing is attached to one of a rear wheel side member and a vehicle body side member which are connected with each other through a suspension mechanism and a lever is carried on the housing through a pivot axis to be pivotable toward the housing for direct or indirect abutting engagement with a piston formed with a valve portion. A spring member is interposed between a free end portion of the lever and the other of the rear wheel side member and the vehicle body side member for urging the lever toward the piston by means of a spring force depending on the distance between the rear wheel side member and the vehicle body side member. Further, an anti-vibration member is provided between the lever and the housing for moderating the collision of the lever with the piston when the lever is repetitively disengaged from, and engaged with, the piston during the vehicle running a bumpy road.

  • Patent number: 6540307
Abstract: A rear axle braking system for a vehicle has a primary electronic braking circuit supplied with a source of primary braking pressure and a mechanical back-up braking circuit supplied with a source of back-up braking pressure. The braking actuator receives braking pressure and thereby brakes a wheel on a vehicle axle. During braking, a changeover valve is normally actuated to apply the primary braking pressure to the braking actuator. In the event of an electronic system failure, the changeover valve is not applied and instead the source of back-up braking pressure is supplied to the actuator. A regulating valve is located in the back-up braking circuit between the source and the changeover valve and is operable as a function of axle loading and back-up brake pressure to control the supply of back-up braking pressure to the changeover valve. The application of additional braking pressure to a wheel can be limited if the loading on the axle is likely to result in vehicle instability when braking.

  • Patent number: 6302496
Abstract: The present invention relates to a load-responsive brake force regulator which, for the installation into the vehicle, has a clearance compensation element in the shape of an elastomeric element that automatically moves the actuating lever into the required stop position. After the installation of the brake force regulator into the vehicle, a fixing device is fixed on the pin by means of a screw so that a defined distance is adjusted between the housing of the brake force regulator and the end of a load-responsively acting tension spring. The rubber band is redundant after the fixation. In contrast to the state of the art which proposes the provision of a clearance compensation spring on the lever-side end of the pin and, after fixation, the dissection of the pin at its redundant end by way of a nominal breaking point, the present invention prevents damage to the pin due to transport or improper handling because no nominal breaking point is required.

  • Patent number: 6260934
Abstract: The processing for controlling brake systems, which can control the release time of the brake force in consideration of the gradient degree and the load and vehicle weight when the vehicle starts after a stop, so as to prevent the vehicle from rolling backward on the slope, comprising the steps of determining if conditions of a vehicle are suitable for entering a slope start control mode; determining if air pressure in air tanks are maintained over a predetermined pressure after entering the slope start control mode, when it has been determined that the conditions of the vehicle were suitable for the slope start control mode; maintaining brake force by controlling of solenoid valves without brake pedal operation, when it has been determined that the air pressure in the air tanks were maintained over the predetermined pressure; determining if conditions of doors and transmission gear position, clutch stroke, and acceleration pedal operation are suitable for the vehicle's start, while maintaining the brake
