Outlet-pressure Control Patents (Class 303/59)
  • Publication number: 20130106170
Abstract: A hydraulic brake device and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The disclosed hydraulic brake device determines failure of a booster pressure sensor provided at a hydraulic power unit, using pressure correlation among a master cylinder pressure sensor, a pressure sensor provided at the hydraulic power unit to detect a pressure transferred to a hydraulic pressure controller, and a high pressure accumulator pressure sensor. When there is failure of the booster pressure sensor, the driver is informed of the failure, and a braking operation is carried out, taking into consideration the failure. Accordingly, it may be possible to avoid excessive braking, sudden braking, insufficient braking, etc., and to achieve enhancement in braking sensation and braking force.

Abstract: An airbrake reservoir lock system for an airbrake system of a vehicle is provided. The vehicle has an electronic control module. The airbrake reservoir lock system comprises a primary air reservoir, and a first airbrake reservoir lock. The primary air reservoir has an input port and an output port. The primary air reservoir stores an amount of pressurized air. The first airbrake reservoir lock is disposed in fluid communication with the output port of the primary air reservoir. The first airbrake reservoir lock has a valve portion and an electrical actuator. The valve portion has an open position and a closed position. The electrical actuator positions the valve portion of the first airbrake reservoir lock between the open position and the closed position based upon an output of the electronic control module.

  • Patent number: 6375281
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for regulating the braking torque generated by the braking system of a vehicle which include a friction lining, a brake surface, an actuator for displacing the friction lining by means of a medium towards he brake surface with a predetermined brake pressure in order to generate the brake torque, the method including restricting the predetermined brake pressure below a maximum brake pressure for the speed of the vehicle only when the actuator is actuated when the vehicle is traveling at a speed below a predetermined speed. Apparatus is also disclosed for carrying out the method.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for enhancing recovery of oil from producing and dormant wells. The invention is embodied in an apparatus in which brine is mixed with a small amount of oil, and then passed through an alternating current flowing between a pair of spaced apart electrodes. The invention is also embodied in a method which shutting in the second well, injecting hydrogen, hot water and steam into the formation via the first well, monitoring formation pressure at the second well until a pressure increase is detected, and recovering fluids including petroleum from said formation via the second well.

  • Patent number: 5662390
Abstract: In a power-brake system, a hydraulic pressure generated by means of a pump may be supplied, controllably in proportion to an actuation force via brake conduits, by a power-brake valve to individual brake cylinders. Control pressure conduits are connected to the brake cylinders or the brake conduits in the vicinity of the brake cylinders and these control pressure conduits are connected to the brake valve. The brake pressure at the brake cylinders may be fed back, via the control pressure conduits, as the control pressure for acting on the control end of the brake valve so that a control of the control plungers of the brake valve is carried out corresponding to the brake pressure build-up at the brake cylinders and, particularly when low brake pressures are desired, rapid pressure build-up times in the brake conduits are ensured.

  • Patent number: 5405182
Abstract: The electronic brake control simulates by electronic means various real changes over time of the pneumatic pressures in a braking system, in particular the pressure in the main air pipe of the train, the pressure in the R containers of the individual wagons and the pressure in the individual brake cylinders. When the brakes are released, the values are determined from these model values and the actually backfed air volume, from which values the pilot control pressure for a relay valve can be increased in order to release the brakes more rapidly. The train model determines, by an adaptive learning method at the end of a brake releasing process, values for the volume of the main air pipe and the R containers of the train, so that the train model adapts itself to the actually existing train.
