Manual Patents (Class 303/9.65)
  • Patent number: 8322797
Abstract: A hydraulic device for actuating the braking of work vehicles and the like, comprising a duct for connecting the delivery duct to the discharge duct or to an auxiliary duct, along which there are auxiliary pumping elements, which can be actuated in order to pump pressurized liquid into the feed duct; a one-way valve being provided which allow the liquid to flow along the connecting duct exclusively toward the delivery duct.

  • Patent number: 8042882
Abstract: A braking system for a combined tractor-trailer assembly wherein a leading trailer is coupled to a towing tractor and a trailing trailer is coupled to the leading trailer. All of the wheels of the trailers are provided with brakes which may be applied and released in response to the operation of a brake control pedal operated by a driver in the tractor. The brakes also may be applied to the trailing trailer whenever the latter is parked. The brakes of the trailing trailer normally are maintained in applied condition by a spring assisted mechanism when such trailer is parked. Such mechanism normally is disabled by pressurized fluid when the trailer is in service and the pressured fluid is accessible via a valve which simultaneously enables the parking brakes and service brakes simultaneously to be coupled to and uncoupled from the pressure fluid system.

  • Patent number: 7347508
Abstract: A combined brake system and method, for a two-wheeled motor vehicle, is capable of synchronizing a braking operation of either a front or rear wheel with a braking operation of the other wheel. The brake system enables a rider to perform braking operations in which the rider feels no little or no discomfort. The system includes a pair of hydraulic pressure modulators for supplying hydraulic pressure, generated by an electrically-operated actuator, to front and rear brake calipers, respectively. A controller electrically controls each hydraulic pressure modulator in response to a riding condition for the vehicle and in response to a braking operation applied by the vehicle operator.

  • Publication number: 20030218376
Abstract: A hydraulic control device for controlling brake systems includes a base having two first passages defined therethrough so as to define two first inlets and two outlets. A second passage is connected between the two first passages and communicates with the two first passages. A shaft is rotatably inserted in the base has a third passage defined therethrough which communicates with the second passage by rotating the shaft. Two first hoses are respectively connected to the two first inlets and the two brake levers. Each first hose has a hydraulic liquid reservoirs connected thereto. Two second hoses are respectively connected to the two outlets and the two brake systems. The front brake system and the rear brake system are operated simultaneously by pulling either one of the brake levers.
