Abstract: A control system for a passive seat belt arrangement of an automotive vehicle. A drive motor of the control system is in an electric circuit and adapted to operate the seat belt arrangement to release a vehicle occupant from its restraint upon being supplied with electric current. Electric current supply to the motor is accomplished by closing a handle switch in the electric circuit. The handle switch is adapted to be closed when a door inside handle is operated by a vehicle occupant who intends to open a vehicle door to get off the vehicle, thereby preventing the vehicle occupant from being released from restraint with the seat belt arrangement in case the door is opened contrary to the occupant's will. A speed-sensitive preventing means for preventing the drive motor from being energized when the vehicle is moving.
Abstract: A switched four-legged reactor bank which operates in combination with line circuit breakers can be used to extinguish faults on untransposed transmission lines. It comprises three shunt reactors, a neutral reactor and three switches for performing high side reactor switching. The reactor bank also provides transmission line compensation.

Abstract: A power supply system for a number of functional units distributed along a transmission in which each unit gets its supply from a constant voltage circuit connected across the transmission line. Each unit may have a low power and a high power state. The power supply which is located at one end of the transmission line is a constant voltage supply with current limiting features. The constant voltage circuits each comprises a Zener diode connected in series with an adjustable constant current circuit and a system for setting the constant current circuit on either the low or the high power state. When the high power state is set, the voltage across the constant current circuit is sensed and if this voltage is too high, the constant current is further increased until the current limiting of the power supply operates thereby decreasing the voltage across the constant current circuit to a safe value.
Abstract: A method for reducing current unbalance in the electric system of a three-phase A.C. power transmission line operating in an incomplete phase regime using the wires of the line and transformers electrically coupled thereto. A disconnected wire of the line operating in the incomplete phase regime is grounded at one end thereof and a suitable alternating voltage source is connected at the other end thereof to increase the current flowing through the transformer neutrals, thus reducing current unbalance in the electric system. An embodiment of the invention provides for the use of a lightning protection wire rope instead of the wire in case the latter is broken.
