  • Patent number: 9007034
Abstract: An electric power generation control system for a vehicle, which enables generation of electric power by a generator as much as possible while preventing an electrical component from being overheated by power generation by the generator. The electric power generation control system selectively switches a mode of the generator between first and second modes in which an instruction voltage is higher and not higher than an allowable voltage of a wire harness, respectively. A counter value is counted up in the first mode and down in the second mode. When the counter value has reached a higher limit value, the first mode is inhibited and the power generation mode is set to the second mode. This increase the proportion of an execution time period of the first, and accordingly, when a possibility of overheating the wire harness becomes high, the instruction voltage is lowered.

  • Patent number: 9000624
Abstract: A power-good signal generator generates a power-good signal according to a control signal of a controller, and comprises an impedance element, a controlled transistor and a power sequencing free circuit. An end of the impedance element is coupled to a second voltage source. The controlled transistor has first and second input/output ends and a controlled end, wherein the first input/output end is coupled to the other end of the impedance element to generate the power-good signal. An operating state of the controlled transistor is changed in response to the control signal. The power sequencing free circuit is coupled to the controlled end and one of the first input/output end and the second voltage source. When the second voltage source is supplied before the first voltage source, the power sequencing free circuit turns on the controlled transistor to clamp the power-good signal to be lower than a predetermined voltage level.

  • Patent number: 8947033
Abstract: A delay circuit for a fan includes a signal generation circuit, a first switch, a delay microchip, and a second switch. The signal generation circuit receives a driving signal and generates a control signal according to the driving signal. The first switch is electronically connected to the signal generation circuit to receive the control signal. The second switch is electronically connected between the delay microchip and the fan. When the signal generation circuit is electronically connected to the fan via the first switch, the control signal is transmitted to the fan to activate the fan. When the signal generation circuit is electronically connected to the delay microchip, the delay microchip receives the control signal and outputs a delayed control signal after a predetermined delay time, and the delayed control signal is transmitted to the fan via the second switch to activate the fan.

  • Patent number: 8860248
Abstract: A demand response unit (DRU) interposed between a utility's electrical power line (PL) and at least one load (L1-Ln) to which power is supplied by the utility over the line. A detector (Fdet or Vdet) measures a characteristic (frequency F, voltage V) of an electrical waveform (W) by which power is transmitted by the utility to the load. The detector determines both when the measured frequency or voltage exceeds a predetermined threshold for a first predetermined period of time; and, if the threshold is exceeded, when the frequency or voltage exceeds the second predetermined threshold for a second predetermined period of time. For this purpose, the detector processes a predetermined number of intervals of the waveform and produces an average value of the characteristic which is compared to the threshold. This is done to reduce the effect of extraneous events which may temporarily change the value of the frequency or voltage.

Abstract: A lamp apparatus include a lamp body, at least an alternating current light-emitting diode and a plug. The alternating current light-emitting diode is disposed on a lamp body. The plug is electrically connected to the alternating current light-emitting diode. In lamp apparatuses utilizing AC LED, heat generated thereby is almost concentrated on chips. Compared with conventional lamp apparatuses utilizing DC LEDs, heat generated thereby is distributed on chips and outer rectifier. In lamp apparatuses utilizing AC LEDs, heat generated thereby is almost concentrated on chips because AC LEDs operate directly with AC electric power, omitting a rectifier and preventing power loss during operation of power rectification. Therefore, the heat accumulated on the chips of the AC LEDs is enough to be used to evaporate essential oil. In another embodiment, the invention utilizes low-resistance pure water surrounding the AC LED to dissipate its heat.
