The actuators may be configured to tilt the enclosure or a component thereof and one or more motors may be configured to deploy a deployable tray housed within the enclosure, which minimizes user loading or unloading labor. Typically, on a front end of the enclosure, one or more actuators may couple the enclosure to a portion of a vehicle support structure. The deployable tray may include a tiltable mechanism to further facilitate loading or unloading.

The textured surface reduces the contact surface between the retention tab and the notch of the data storage cartridge. The data storage cartridge can thus be removed from the storage cell with less force than that required by the prior art having a generally smooth interface between the notch of the data storage cartridge and the retention tab of the storage cell.

The weight of the address cards keeps the device in either the open or closed orientation chosen by the user. The card file in accordance with the present invention can be suitably adapted to display a picture or time keeping instrument in the face of the cover, so that when the cards are concealed, the card file serves as an office accessory.

A slide is mounted within the housing member and connected to the door such that rotation of the door causes the slide to move forward and back within the housing member. A tab on the inner end of the slide engages the disk drive to urge the disk drive out of the bay. Alternative embodiments provide ten or more disk drives at a density of two drives per half height bay.

A kit for converting a conventional mailbox into one with a movable tray includes a movable trolley, a first spring for connecting the movable trolley to a hinged mailbox door, and an opposing second spring for connecting the opposite end of the trolley to a fixed wall of the mailbox. When the mailbox door is opened, the first spring will pull the trolley partially out from the interior of the mailbox. The opposing second spring will pull the trolley back into the interior of the mailbox when the door is closed.

The rocker arms have laterally mounted pegs which, when the slider member is ejected, disengage the rocker arms from the reel hub by running beneath the projections, and when the slider member is inserted, engage the rocker arms in the reel hub by running on the elevations.

The assembly also includes an enclosure for housing the container. Automatic opening cam mechanisms are provided in the interior of the enclosure and are responsive to the opening and closing of doors at the front of the enclosure to open and close the hinged top of the container, respectively.

A transparent cover member is pivotally mounted to the drawer guides to close the front portion of the crisper drawer in the storage disposition while allowing ready viewability of the contents thereof by the user. The cover member automatically moves between the closing disposition when the crisper drawer is in the storage arrangement to an uncovered disposition when the crisper drawer is brought forwardly to the access arrangement. The arrangement of the cover member is such as to effectively preclude retention of articles thereon, thereby avoiding impact damage to the door shelf by abutment with such articles upon closing of the door.

The keyboard housed within the housing is returned to its stored position in a converse manner.

The cabinets may include a pair of side cabinets which are hinge connected to a central cabinet, for movement between a storage position in which the side cabinets are in juxta-position with each other and the central cabinet and are positioned over the table, and a use position in which the side cabinets extend laterally outwardly, in a wing fashion, from the opposite sides of the table and from the access opening for the central cabinet.

Abstract: A movable ice receptacle for use in a refrigeration apparatus having a refrigerated cabinet defining a space within which the receptacle is normally disposed. The refrigerated space is selectively closed by a movable closure. The receptacle is mounted for selective disposition in a rearward ice storage position and a forward ice access position. The mounting of the receptacle is such that, when the closure is moved to an open position, the receptacle is correspondingly repositioned forwardly from the storage position to the access position. For improved dispensing of the ice in the receptacle, a rapid deceleration is effected at the forward end of the receptacle movement effectively shifting the ice in the receptacle to a forward, more readily accessible portion thereof.

Abstract: A unit for sterilizing instruments in a chemical germicide solution having a container for holding the solution and a cover for closing the container. A tray having slots formed in the bottom thereof receives the instruments. A support for the tray is attached between the cover and the bottom of the container and moves the tray and instruments from a first position of immersion in the solution to a second position above the solution as the cover is pivoted upwardly from the container. The slots in the tray allow the solution to drain from the tray and the instruments.
