    Abstract: A laundry appliance includes a cabinet that includes a front panel that defines an aperture. A user-interface assembly is positioned within the aperture and includes a retaining bracket assembly. The user-interface assembly is biased by a force of gravity toward an open rest position. A spring pin is selectively engaged with the retaining bracket assembly. The user-interface assembly is retained in a retained position by the engagement between the spring pin and the retaining bracket assembly. A spring bracket is coupled to an interior surface of the user-interface assembly. The spring bracket engages an inner surface of the front panel to stop the user-interface assembly in the open rest position when the retaining bracket assembly is released from engagement with the spring pin.

    Abstract: A cover is designed such that it can be fastened to and removed from a housing without a tool, wherein the cover can be plugged by a protruding engagement section into the housing to a variable depth. The engagement section has a retaining device which has a U-shaped retaining spring which is mounted on the cover in the plug-in direction and is intended for the supporting clamping bearing against an inner wall of the housing for fastening purposes. The retaining spring has a mounting section and an outwardly pointing retaining arm, with a free space in between in which the clamping section engages in order to press apart the retaining spring and to prevent a movement of the retaining spring away from the clamping bearing against the inner wall of the housing.

    Abstract: A wall mounted cabinet with an improved hinge design having a mounting frame, a cabinet body and a pair of improved hinge apparatus. The hinge apparatus includes a hinge shaft attachable to a side of the mounting frame in such a manner that the hinge shaft is slidably adjusted along the mounted frame side and a hinge plate attached to the cabinet body. The hinge shafts can engage the hinge plates, securing the cabinet body to the mounting frame, or disengage the hinge plate, thereby allowing the removal of the cabinet body from the mounting frame. Fasteners secure the hinge shafts to the side of the mounting frame and maintain the hinge shafts in the desired position. The fasteners can only be removed from the inside of the cabinet, thereby providing a secure enclosure when the cabinet body is attached to the mounting frame and secured.

    Abstract: A cover is operable to seat and unseat electronic components. The cover is detached from an enclosure exposing an access opening. An electronic component, such as an expansion card, is inserted by an operator into guide rails housed within the opening. A first catch mechanism of the cover pivotally engages the opening so as to form a lever arm. A second catch mechanism connects with a mating catch of the electronic component. The component traverses the guide rails according to the rotation of the cover. The mechanical advantage realized by the cover overcomes the forces associated with seating and detaching connector pins of the electronic component with sockets of an expansion bus. The cover detaches from both the component and the enclosure prior to being repositioned to overlap the opening.
