Pivoted Closure, Horizontally Movable Component Patents (Class 312/311)
  • Patent number: 4269039
Abstract: An ice receptacle support for use in a refrigeration apparatus, such as a freezer, wherein ice bodies are stored in an upwardly opening receptacle. The receptacle is removably carried on a support which is swingably mounted by a front pair of links and a rear pair of links so as to be gravity biased forwardly against a small access door carried in the main door of the freezer. When the small access door is opened, the receptacle swings forwardly as a result of the forward gravity biasing thereof by the supporting link arrangement so as to place the receptacle automatically in an ice access position. The links are arranged to provide a controlled limited force of the gravity biasing so as to effectively avoid undesirable opening of the freezer doors by the gravity biasing force. The front pair of links may be pivotally connected to a front upper portion of the receptacle carrier and the rear pair of links may be pivotally connected to a lower rear portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 4260208
Abstract: A support frame for electronic equipment such as a magnetic disc drive which can function also as a manufacturing fixture. The frame includes front and rear vertical members which each comprise a generally rectangularly shaped rod. Rods are attached to the sides and the bottom of the front and rear members, and brackets are attached to the side rods for supportably receiving the magnetic disc drive. Advantageously, the fixture facilitates air flow around the electronic equipment when housed in a storage cabinet.

  • Patent number: 4226490
Abstract: An arrangement for stabilizing the in and out movement of a dishwasher dishrack which produces a precise guidance of the rack during its movement, including a stabilizer axle mounted to the rack and extending normally to the direction of movement. Friction rollers are fixed at either end of the stabilizer axle, spring-biased into engagement with an interior surface of the dishwasher cabinet, the constrained simultaneous rotation of each wheel serving to precisely control the movement and attitude of the rack during in and out movement. The spring-bias also preloads the rack mounting components to provide a vertical stabilizing effect. The stabilizer axle is mounted to specially configured rear corner brackets, housing spring-biased plungers which rotatably mount the axle, while producing the upward biasing thereof.

  • Patent number: 4183437
Abstract: A rack holder for large diameter items of dishware of varying depths such as plates and bowls, including an arrangement of dish holder wire form elements mounted to a rack frame which efficiently accommodates either shallow depth items such as plates or deeper items such as bowls while maintaining a stable, slightly inclined vertical positioning of these items. The arrangement includes a succession of aligned pairs of dish holder elements of alternate configuration. One is comprised of upwardly extending fingers and the other of diverging substantially shorter elements. Both configurations are spaced and formed so as to securely engage shallow depth plates between successive pairs of elements of either configuration, while the divergent elements accommodate deeper bowl items allowing them to be received between the upwardly extending fingers. Particular dimensions and configuration of the elements accommodate the arrangement to a wide variety of dishware.

  • Patent number: 4149518
Abstract: A baking oven has a flame tube defining a baking chamber and a charging opening oriented in a vertical plane; a door for opening and closing the charging opening; a rail structure secured to the door and extending into the oven externally of the flame tube for providing a sliding support for the door for sliding movement in a horizontal direction towards and away from the charging opening. The door is horizontally divided into a lower door portion and an upper door portion. The upper portion is pivotally attached to the lower door portion to provide for a swinging motion of the upper door portion from an upright orientation in an arcuate vertical direction away from the charging opening.

  • Patent number: 4146405
Abstract: A complete dishwasher and sink assembly, including equipment usually installed separately, forms a unit that can be inserted in a cut-out in a countertop, and supported and secured in position at a peripheral flange. The connections to the associated utilities are positioned for maximum convenience to standard locations. A sink is pivotally mounted to provide a cover for the dishwasher chamber, and stiffener-deflector arrangements are provided to assure that the interior spray does not produce leakage out to the countertop through ventilation passages at the peripheral flange. Spray is applied to racks of dishes, preferably from rotating spray heads mounted on a movable carrier, with the supply of water to the spray heads being conducted via the hollow interior of the carrier and also the hollow interior of a sequence of interconnected links. The rotatable spray heads are also hollow, with molded projections forming directional jet orifices.

  • Patent number: 4098094
Abstract: A movable ice receptacle for use in a refrigeration apparatus having a refrigerated cabinet defining a space within which the receptacle is normally disposed. The refrigerated space is selectively closed by a door provided with an ice access opening selectively closed by a movable closure. The receptacle is mounted for selective disposition in a rearward ice storage position and a forward ice access position at the opening. The mounting of the receptacle is such that, when the closure is moved to an open position, the receptacle is correspondingly repositioned forwardly from the storage position to the access position. The receptacle is gravity biased toward the forward ice access position, and is urged against this bias by structure associated both with the closure and the receptacle to move the receptacle to the rearward storage position as an incident of the closure being disposed in a closed position.

Each arm is mounted on a fulcrum and carries a wheel on the end extending from the housing so that on each side of the dishrack there are a pair of wheels engaging a supporting guide track that forms a part of the dishwasher with the tracks being projected outwardly when projecting the dishrack outwardly for loading and unloading. Each housing encloses worm wheel sector gears on the arms and a corresponding single worm gear engaging the sector gears for adjusting the arms about their fulcrums and thereby adjusting the vertical position of the dishrack.
