  • Patent number: 11096491
Abstract: A system and a method for hanging an article from a support surface. The article may be a cabinet, such as a medicine cabinet or the like, although the system described herein may be used for hanging any type of article from a support surface such as a wall. The system uses a surface mounting element that is coupled to the support surface and a cam lock that is slidably coupled to the article to hang the article from the support surface by coupling the surface mounting element to the cam lock. Because the cam lock is slidably coupled to the article, the article can move horizontally along the support surface without separating the article from the support surface.

  • Patent number: 10806254
Abstract: A rod mounted on a bracket designed to be attached to one of a jamb of a closet, on a substantial vertical center post, or other substantial vertical support where access to space behind is desired, as well as the ability to fully access a clothing, or other items that may be supported by the rod by moving the rod out of the space where access is desired. With more than a single hinge point the support rod will move in, and out of the space that it occupies allowing access to otherwise wasted space that a normal support rod would occupy. The rod is able to then allow the user to access both the space by moving the rod, and supported items out of the way, and allowing the user to access the full array of items supported by the rod with ease.

  • Publication number: 20150022070
Abstract: A self-contained latch module in combination with a pusher and catch (collectively “latch assembly”) allows for the locking of two doors with a single lock. The latch module contains two spring-loaded bolts, one active and one passive. Pushing the active bolt into the latch housing, the passive bolt extends out of the opposite side of the latch housing. Pushing onto the passive bolt in the direction of the latch housing while the active bolt is depressed will allow the passive bolt to retract into the housing without affecting the active bolt on the opposite side. This allows a user to slam closed the associated doors in any order. The self-latching nature of this latch assembly allows for the automatic latching of the cabinet doors without having to manually latch one of the doors before locking the other.

  • Patent number: 8029079
Abstract: A safety cabinet has a plurality of walls defining a front open side and a pair of doors pivotal about respective horizontally spaced axes on the walls between a closed and an open position. Guides in the cabinet are each associated with a respective one of the doors, and respective links each have a front end connected to a respective one of the doors and a rear end shiftable front-to-back in a respective one of the guides. A connector extends between the rear ends of the links and shifts front-to-back with them. A closer is operatively engageable with the connector, and a spring applies bears on the closer to urge it against the connector for pushing same into the rear end position and closing the doors. An actuator normally holds the closer out of engagement with the connector during movement of same between the front and rear end positions.

  • Patent number: 7506474
Abstract: A cam mechanism has different portions thereof arranged on a main unit, which may be a refrigerator, and on a door. When the door is closed, a hinge pin is locked at one end of a hinge groove, keeping the cam mechanism in a first locked position. As the door is opened, the hinge pin is guided by the hinge groove and a guide pin is guided by a guide groove, permitting the door to rotate and slide. Thus, the hinge pin is locked at the other end of the hinge groove, bringing the cam mechanism to a second locked position. A boss slides on a rib and thereby maintains the second locked position, permitting the door to rotate about the hinge pin. This structure helps realize a door opening/closing mechanism with enhanced operability at reduced cost.
