Abstract: A backlight module includes a base plate, a plurality of light-emitting elements and a plurality of lenses. The light-emitting elements are disposed on the base plate. The lenses are disposed on the base plate and respectively correspond to the light-emitting elements. Each of the lenses has a side surface and a plurality of diffusing portions. The diffusing portions are located on the side surface. At least one of the diffusing portions of each of the lenses is located between adjacent two of the corresponding lenses.
Abstract: A side illumination lens for a LED is disclosed. One of the embodiments includes a bottom cavity, an incident surface, four total internal reflective surfaces, and a side refractive surface. Light beam emitted by the LED enters the lens through the incident surface. A first portion of the light beam is reflected by the total internal reflection surfaces to the refractive surface and emits out of the lens. The second portion of light beam enters the lens and exits from the refractive surface. A second one of the embodiments is to roughen the side refractive surface for diffusing the exit light beams so that a broader area can be illuminated softly.
Abstract: The present invention refers to an anode composition comprising as binding agent the sugar cane molasses, mascavo sugar, brown sugar or demerara, VHP, crystal, refined or hard sugar, instead of the conventional electrolytic pitch. The composition may optionally include additives based on lithium, fluorine, aluminum, boron and sulfur, and is used in a process for the manufacture of anodes for the primary aluminum industry. The invention also refers to a process for the manufacture of said anode and the application thereof to the primary aluminum industry.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for recycling spent potliner carbon from an aluminum reduction cell. The spent potliner is treated so as to avoid the cracking problem normally seen when the potliner is used in substantial amounts in Soderberg anodes.
Abstract: A method of resetting an anode spike in a vertical type Soderberg electrolytic furnace for aluminum, comprising inserting at least one paste block prepared by molding packing paste into a configuration conforming to that of the top end of a spike in the spike pit formed after pulling out the spike, and setting the spike again.
