  • Patent number: 10856386
Abstract: A LED driver circuit includes a first voltage drop module, a constant current driving module, a second voltage drop module, a DIP switch module, an auxiliary winding module, a control module and a loading module. The loading module is driven by converting a direct current voltage. The converted direct current voltage is additionally bucked to generate an optimized voltage that powers the DIP switch module and the control module. The DIP switch module selects a level of a predetermined current and in turn outputs an electrical signal to the control module. Therefore, the control module outputs a corresponding pulse signal for regulating a current passing through the loading module. Meanwhile, the control module calculates a required voltage level for driving. And the control module compares the required voltage level with an actual voltage value output by the auxiliary winding module and then determines the working status of the loading module.

  • Patent number: 10560993
Abstract: A dimming controller is coupled to receive an out-source current from a dimming interface for each LED driver connected thereto. Based on the out-source current received, the controller can estimate the number of connected LED drivers. When the LED driver(s) are determined to be on based on the received out-source current, the dimming controller generates and transmits a dimming control voltage. The dimming controller is programmable with relationships between the dimming control voltage and operational parameters for the certain type of LED driver and the certain type of LED load. The dimming controller then estimates the power characteristics (e.g., the input power and the output power) of the LED driver and associated LED load based on the programmed relationships. Power characteristics can accordingly be reported to the customer via a dimming controller without requiring specifically designed power measuring devices. Driver failure in the group can be reported in real time.

Abstract: Method for the operation and the expansion of a network of lights, each light in the network including a control module which is assigned to a group, each control module being in communication with a group controller as well as control modules in the same group. The network can be expanded by installing (19) new lights with their associated control modules, and each new control module scans (20) its environment and transmits environmental information to a central server where the environmental information is analysed and the new control modules are allocated (21) into groups. After allocation to a group in which control modules may be moved from one group to another or a new group is formed, the new control modules are available for normal operation. This process is repeated for each new light and associated control module.
