Including Negative Resistance Device In Delay Circuit (e.g., Unijunction Transistor, Etc.) Patents (Class 327/402)
  • Patent number: 11654883
Abstract: A vehicle includes a traction battery, an electric machine, a relay electrically between the traction battery and electric machine, and a controller. When closed, the relay completes an electrical circuit including the traction battery and electric machine. The controller selectively commands the relay to open based on a voltage across a coil of the relay and a current through the coil.

  • Patent number: 10209751
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are disclosed of a relay switch control configured for connection between a power source and a load. The control includes a processor having a clock upon which an operating frequency of the processor is based, and a sealed relay operable by the processor to electrically connect or disconnect the power source and the load. The relay switch control can start power to the load through the relay after a randomized time delay determined by the processor using a value of a counter of the processor. The counter is updated as a function of cycles of the clock.

  • Patent number: 9978286
Abstract: A system and method for the avoidance of one or more obstacles by an aircraft, and a related computer program product, electronic system and aircraft are disclosed. In one aspect, the method includes a) generating an alert by a warning system on detection of an obstacle and b) if no manual avoidance maneuver is detected for a time period longer than a first determined time and if the alert is maintained during this first time period, automatically activating an automatic avoidance guide mode to determine an obstacle-avoidance guidance rule. The method further including c) if an autopilot device of the aircraft is coupled to the automatic avoidance guide mode, transmitting to the autopilot device the avoidance guidance rule determined in step b) for automatic performing of a maneuver to avoid the obstacle.

  • Patent number: 9018983
Abstract: Method and apparatus for electrosurgery including tissue coagulation using very high voltage pulses of electrical energy applied to the electrosurgical probe. This minimizes heating of the surrounding tissue in the probe and is especially suitable for precise and limited coagulation and fulguration without excessive tissue charring or other damage. The power at rated load of the applied pulses to the probe is typically over 300W and the duration of the on time is very short, so each group of pulse bursts is of relatively low duty cycle. An RF generator is also provided for delivering electrical energy to an electrosurgical probe with the proper characteristics, including fast switching times.

  • Patent number: 5666081
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fail-safe on-delay circuit which uses an an electronic circuit. An input signal higher than a power source potential is input to a PUT oscillating circuit and a pulse signal generated with a predetermined time constant, is once changed in a level conversion circuit to a level within a range of the power source potential, and then is phase inverted and a rising differential signal of the phase inverted signal is formed. The input signal to the PUT oscillation circuit is applied to one input terminal of a fail-safe two input window comparator, and the differential signal is input to the other input terminal, and self held. After a predetermined delay time an output of logic value 1 is generated from the window comparator. As a result a fail-safe on-delay circuit can be made wherein, in the event of a fault in the elements of the circuit the delay time is not shortened.

  • Patent number: 5479129
Abstract: An electronically-controlled variable propagation delay digital signal inverter comprises a digital signal inverter having an input signal port and an output signal port, and an electronically-controlled negative resistance (ECNR). The ECNR is coupled to the output port of the inverter in a configuration so as to render the propagation delay of the digital signal inverter capable of being varied by varying the resistance of the ECNR. The electronically-controlled variable propagation delay digital signal inverter may be included in a ring oscillator configuration.
