Directive Gyroscope Stabilized By Auxiliary Gyroscope Patents (Class 33/323)
  • Patent number: 10274317
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for determining the misalignment between a device and a platform (such as for example a vessel or vehicle) using radius of rotation of the device, wherein mobility of the device may be constrained or unconstrained within the platform. The device may be moved or tilted to any orientation within the platform and still provide a seamless navigation solution without degrading the performance of this navigation solution. This method can utilize measurements (readings) from sensors (such as for example, accelerometers, gyroscopes, etc.) whether in the presence or in the absence of navigational information updates (such as, for example, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) or WiFi positioning).

Abstract: A method, computing system and computer program product are provided to monitor compliance with a non-transgression zone between aircraft approach corridors, thereby facilitating simultaneous instrument approaches. In the context of a method, a predicted path of an aircraft is determined during a flight based upon at least a representation of a roll angle of the aircraft and a cross-track component of the velocity of the aircraft. The method also includes identifying an instance in which the predicted path of the aircraft during the flight intersects a non-transgression zone. The method further includes causing an alert to be issued in the instance in which the predicted path of the aircraft during the flight intersects the non-transgression zone.

  • Patent number: 9552641
Abstract: Disclosed is method of measuring the displacement between a reference region of a reference image and a sample region of a sample image. The method spatially varies the reference region using a one-dimensional filter having complex kernel values, wherein a length (radius) and direction (angle or tangent segment) of the filter is a function of position in the reference region. The method then measures a displacement between the reference region and the sample region by comparing the spatially varied reference region and the sample region.

  • Patent number: 5946999
Abstract: This invention is a clear plastic board used specifically for scoring a straight line when place on top of glass or stained glass. The invention allows the artisan to comfortably move the board so as to score by seeing his pattern through the clear plastic and selecting exactly the color of the stained glass that he wishes to use in his artwork. A slot in the middle of the board allows a more expensive type of cutter as well as the less expensive glass cutter to score and glide easily from bottom to top or top to bottom (as some artisans prefer) and effectively score a straight line on the glass. The slot also prevents slipping to the side as would be true when using a straight edge or T square and allows for a stronger and more rigid scoring. The scoring board also has topside and underside rubber strips to prevent slippage, as would be true when using a straight edge, allowing for the effective scoring of horizontal and vertical lines and to diminish wear and tear to the cutter's carbide wheel.

Abstract: An image forming member, e.g. a pen or a cutter (for cutting image patterns), which member requires to be lowered onto and applied with a given pressure to a writing surface, is controlled in two modes. In a position control mode, the image forming member is controlled by means of a closed loop circuit by which it is lowered and positioned at a very small distance off of the writing surface. In accordance with a second, pressure control mode, the image forming member is controlled by means of an open loop circuit. With the aid of the open loop circuit the member is lowered and then applied with a given pressure to the writing surface. • Patent number: 4736661
Abstract: A cutting apparatus for cutting material into a desired shape has a first travelling member and a second travelling member which are arranged on a holding stand, on which the material to be cut is placed, and which approach and separate from each other. A cutting tool for cutting the material is mounted on each of the first and the second travelling members so as to be movable in a direction that is perpendicular to the travelling direction of each travelling member. Movement corresponding to a cutting profile required for the cutting tool to cut the material to a desired shape is imparted by controlling the first travelling member and the second travelling member and the cutting tools mounted on both travelling members. In addition, such a cutting process can be carried out by driving a numerical control to spread the cutting tools mounted on both travelling members in a laterally symmetrical relation so that an annular portion can be cut to produce shaped articles.
