Having Circumferential Pivot, Only Patents (Class 33/422)
  • Patent number: 6892467
Abstract: An improved tool is provided for locating the corner or edge of a workpiece while setting the workpiece at a desired angle with respect to a work surface. An elongated arm member slidably engages an elongated base member at one end, allowing for the measurement of the distance between the opposite end portions of the arm and base member and calculation of the angle at which the workpiece is disposed. The base member is provided with generally opposing first and second mating surfaces for locating the corner or edge of the workpiece. Different embodiments are provided for use in finding edges of workpieces having various angles. Different embodiments further provide for the use of multiple measuring instrumentalities and calculations.

  • Patent number: 4773165
Abstract: An angle guide device has a pair of arm members which are adjustable through a range of angles to engage adjacent edges at the corner of a piece of mat board. The device is adapted for mounting upon a triangular guide member in a mat cutting machine, and to be secured in each of a multiplicity of positions along the length of the guide member.

  • Patent number: 4355471
Abstract: This invention relates generally to mobile carpentry and drafting devices and, more particularly, to an integral combination type device which is capable of performing multiple geometry measuring functions within a single instrument. The invention relates specifically to a unique combination of independent carpentry functions into a single device to replace separate tools heretofore required to perform individual functions. The Squareangle may be used to check surfaces for plumb and levelness; check inside and outside squareness; find the center of a circle, square, or octagon; mark 45.degree. and right angles; scribe lines; measure distance; and perform other geometry and drafting functions without the aid of additional devices.

  • Patent number: 4259611
Abstract: A display device includes an evacuated envelope having a plurality of support walls forming a plurality of parallel channels. A mosaic phosphor screen is deposited on a front wall of the envelope. A segmented shadow mask is mounted in spaced, parallel relation to the screen. A plurality of discrete mask segments are required to cover the screen. Each of the mask segments extends along substantially the full length of the channels. Mounting tabs extend from two oppositely disposed edges of the mask segment parallel to the major dimension of the channels.
