Linear Counter Rule Patents (Class 33/436)
  • Publication number: 20090188122
Abstract: A scale base is fixed to a base in a plurality of locations which are aligned in a measuring direction (a Y direction) in which measurement by a scale is carried out, slits are provided in the scale base in positions lying between the locations where the scale base is fixed to the base, the scale is supported by the scale base in two or more of the locations where the scale base is fixed to the base, and the scale base has gaps between the base and the scale base in positions other than the locations where the scale base is fixed to the base and between the scale and the scale base in the positions other than the locations where the scale base is fixed to the base.

  • Patent number: 7464480
Abstract: A craft board assembly is described. Embodiments of the craft board comprise a base having a self healing mat coupled thereto. A square frame rule is provided that defines an interior work area having predetermined dimensions. A piece of paper, such as a scrapbook page, that is the same size as work area dimensions can be received in the work area and is held securely in place by the interior edges of the square frame rule's sides thereby preventing lateral movement of the paper while it is being worked upon. A sliding ruler is also provided that spans two sides of the frame rule permitting a user to quickly and easily measure and layout a scrapbook page. Preferred embodiments further include a magnetic sheet underneath the self healing mat in conjunction with a steel sliding ruler to help hold the ruler securely in place at a desired position or location.

  • Patent number: 6845565
Abstract: A monitor device for marking a reference location on a computer screen. The reference location can be, for example, a data point on the screen that a user needs to note. This would be advantageous, for example, when the user is checking a spreadsheet of data. Often when the user refers back and forth between a computer screen and a hard copy, the user loses track of the user's place on the screen. The monitor guide can be used to keep track of where the user is on the screen. The monitor guide features two rods that move with respect to the screen and intersect at a point used to mark the reference point.

  • Patent number: 6820344
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for measuring across several axes of an object, whereby the object to be measured can be fixed to a measuring table. According to the invention, base strips are provided which are configured laterally as a half-dovetail profile and can be fixed on the measuring plane. Attachment strips, having a groove, are provided to complement the base strips and have a toothed profile on one side. Fastening screws are associated to the groove. The base strips and attachment strips are sized and arranged with respect to the measuring table in such a way that the plane of the measuring table acts as a reference plane for the underside of the attachment strips. A clamping piece, which fixes the object, is also provided. The invention is suitable for both contactless optical measuring and tactile measuring. One of the advantages of the invention is that objects to be measured can be securely and rapidly fixed to the measuring table, even if the latter is mobile.
