Plural Blade Holder Patents (Class 33/635)
  • Patent number: 7721458
Abstract: A level adjusting device for a cutter head of a jointer/planer machine, includes a front support frame for supporting a front anti-friction bearing unit that holds a front journal segment of the cutter head, a rear support frame including left and right base abutments, a height-adjustable carrier for receiving a rear anti-friction bearing member that holds a rear journal segment of the cutter head, left and right lugs respectively having inner tubular threaded surfaces, and left and right adjusting screws respectively having threaded segments which are threadedly and respectively engaged with the inner tubular threaded surfaces, and abutting ends which are in frictional engagement with the base abutments, respectively, and which are turnable to move the respective lugs relative to the adjusting screws so as to raise or lower the carrier, thereby enabling level adjustment of the cutter head.

  • Patent number: 6694832
Abstract: A kit is provided to measure the depth to which the tip of a probe should be set inside an assembly such as a combustion can. The acquired depth is then transferred to a set of probes for installation. The fixtures and the associated process ensure that the probe will be in a proper position for accurate measurement and to eliminate inconsistencies in measurement due to probe insertion to different depths.

  • Patent number: 5675903
Abstract: The alignment mechanism includes a main body, a clamp which is connected to the main body for clamping the main body to the frame of a jointer and for creating a tension on the rotor of the jointer against rotation of the rotor about its drive axis. The clamping elements also include rotor adjusting elements connected to the main body for applying torque to the rotor to overcome the clamping tension on the rotor. The alignment mechanism also includes a reference member connected to the main body to provide a reference surface for aligning the cutting blades of the rotor to the top dead center position.

  • Patent number: 4694582
Abstract: A blade setting tool for wood jointer/planer machines includes a jig member which is attached to the horizontal worktable of the machine and which supports a pair of vertically displaceable knife stops which are positioned in the path of rotation of the knife blades. The underside of a portion of the jig is utilized as a gauging surface for balancing the blades. The blade stops are pulled up and out of the path of blade rotation after a blade is balanced, thus permitting subsequent blades to rotate into place for balancing.
