  • Patent number: 4945322
Abstract: A noise filter includes a wound unit that is composed of two film sheets, one of which is laid on another. On the film sheets, conductors are respectively formed, to which terminals are fixed, respectively. By laying one of the film sheets on another film sheet and winding the same together with the conductors, the conductors on the respective film sheets oppose each other via the film sheet, whereby distributed capacitance is formed between the conductors. Cores are inserted in a hollow portion of the wound unit, whereby inductances are respectively formed by the respective conductors and the cores. The inductances connected between the terminals at an input side and the terminals at an output side, respectively. The above-described distributed capacitance is connected between the conductors that include the inductances.

  • Patent number: 4302737
Abstract: An RC network is disclosed in which two electrically conducting regions and a dielectric lying between these regions form a capacitor. At least one of the electrically conducting regions consists of resistance material and is designed in the shape of a meandering path. This network can be balanced while still guaranteeing a uniform region distribution of the resistance and the capacitance, by means of a laser beam. Upon a carrier of heat-resistant material, a resistance layer, a dielectric of glow discharge polymer, and an opposite electrode capable of regeneration, are applied. The dielectric completely covers the resistance layer with the exception of contact pads.

  • Patent number: 4276523
Abstract: A multiple contact filter connector capable of accommodating high RF currents and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The connector includes an outer metallic shell, a dielectric body within the shell and at least one network filter contact assembly. The inner body has at least one through channel and a transverse cavity which communicates with the channel and an annular metallic ring disposed inwardly of the shell. The network filter contact assembly has a ground electrode and a pin electrode and is disposed within the portion of the channel bridging the cavity. Conductive curable filler material is charged into the cavity around and in contact with the ground electrode and annular ring to form a ground plate for the connector. A pair of spaced apart conductive plates may be disposed transversely to the ground electrode and ring to be in electrical contact therewith and the filler material.

  • Patent number: 4187481
Abstract: This disclosure relates to an EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) filter connector which can be installed in the line between mating plugs and sockets normally used for terminating multiple conductors. This connector is used in an electronic equipment chassis or at a bulkhead junction box or, if necessary, between mating connectors in a cable run, where the metallic parts of the cable connector can be grounded. Conductive rubber or co-polymer elastometric washers are used to protect RF filter components in the connector from damage due to external stress. A high degree of EMI attenuation is provided by an integral metallic baffle having close fitting conductor holes which is located within the connector body.
