Abstract: An electrical component provides a ceramic element located on or in a dielectric substrate between and in contact with a pair of electrical conductors, wherein the ceramic element includes one or more metal oxides having fluctuations in metal-oxide compositional uniformity less than or equal to 1.5 mol % throughout the ceramic element. A method of fabricating an electrical component, provides or forming a ceramic element between and in contact with a pair of electrical conductors on a substrate including depositing a mixture of metalorganic precursors and causing simultaneous decomposition of the metal oxide precursors to form the ceramic element including one or more metal oxides.
Abstract: The present invention provides a central frequency adjustment device and adjustable inductor layout; wherein, the central frequency adjustment device is applied in an inductor/capacitor tank (LC tank) for adjusting the central frequency of the LC tank. The device comprises a first inductor with a first end and a second end; a second inductor with one end coupled with the second end of the first inductor; and, a first trimmable wire connected to the first inductor in parallel and to the second inductor in series, which adjusts the central frequency by cutting off the first trimmable wire.
Abstract: A high efficiency radio frequency (RF) impedance matching network containing an "L-type" inductor-capacitor (LC) circuit where the capacitor is a variable capacitor coupled from an input port to ground and the inductor is a variable inductance inductor coupled from the input port to an output port. A blocking capacitor is provided between the inductor and the output port and a ceramic capacitor is coupled in parallel across the variable capacitor. The impedance match is tuned by physically adjusting tuning elements of both the inductor and capacitor. The variable inductor contains an improved inductor tuning element that optimizes current flow in the tuning elements and inductor. To further improve the efficiency of the matching network, the assembly uses an improved enclosure interior finish and various circuit optimization techniques that reduce contributions to match loop resistance.

Abstract: A UHF television tuner utilizes a mechanical fine tuning mechanism that alters the operation frequency of the oscillator of the tuner independently of the position of the main tuning shaft. The mechanical fine tuning mechanism utilizes a tuning slug disposed inside a tunable coil of the oscillator, and a rotary to linear motion translating mechanism is disposed within the fine tuning shaft for converting a rotational motion of the fine tuning shaft to a linear motion of the slug inside the coil.
Abstract: A tuning circuit having a coaxial cavity with a movable toroidal section to effect inductive tuning. The outer conductor is tapered to effect capacitive tuning by movement of the toroidal section axially within the cavity due to varying of the width of the annular space between the outer conductor and the toroidal section.
