The voltage limiting device is characterized in that one of the two electrical conductors comprises an electrically conductive support plate. The expansion of the support plate in the width direction allows, in contrast to an electrical conductor which is characterized by a small width in relation to the length, a current displacement in the width direction.

    Abstract: A linear connector contact array is presented with focus on the tails of the contacts that are connected to individual wires. A wire management comb made from dielectric material positions each wire over its contact's tail. The wire is attached to the tail by electrically welding the wire to the tail without removing the insulating material. This is accomplished with a heated welding electrode that melts through the insulator material until electrical contact is made with the wire. A non-heated electrode is beneath the tail to complete this circuit. The wire management comb has deep channels which form insulating ribs between adjacent wires. The weld sites are staggered, and exposed ends of the contact tails are held short of the end of the management comb.

    Abstract: Traditional contactors utilize a magnetic circuit that requires its coil to be continuously powered up to hold contacts together. They are heavy and bulky with the type, quality and size of materials used to develop sufficient magnetic force to hold contacts together. They are inefficient, costly and are a safety concern due to potential overheating which could result into fire or damage to connected loads. The current invention utilizes a solenoid actuator assembly with locking and unlocking mechanism in place of the yoke and armature assembly used in traditional magnetic contactors. It does not require the coil to be continuously powered up during operation and the contactor could be manually, electronically or electrically controlled thereby avoiding unnecessary power loss. They are very efficient, safe to users and connected loads, and have long service life expectancy. They are also more cost-effective and smaller in size than traditional magnetic contactors.

    Abstract: A movable contact holder includes a movable contact holder base and a movable contact holder cover. One side of the movable contact holder base is opened to have a plurality of recesses each being formed for holding a contact pair, each contact pair include a bridge contact assembly and a contact spring inserted therein while being isolated from the other pairs. The other side of the movable contact holder base is formed as a bottom wall, and preferably includes openings through which an assembly jig can be inserted from outside the moveable contact holder. Alternatively, jig openings can be formed in lateral side walls of the recesses to allow the assembly jig to be inserted. The movable contact holder cover covers the movable contact holder base and is coupled thereto.

    Abstract: In an electromagnet switch, a stationary iron core is composed mainly of a base part and a disk part. The base part is faced to a plunger and the disk part is forcedly inserted and fixed to a boss part formed in the base part. The disk part is composed of a metal plate of ferromagnetic substance (iron plate) and another substance plate (made of resin or rubber and the like, for example,) of a smaller spring constant or a larger damping coefficient than that of the metal plate. The metal plate and another substance plate are laminated. Another substance plate absorbs or reduces the impact force when the plunger is electromagnetically attracted toward and collides with the base part. The propagation of a large impact noise or crashing sound is thereby suppressed, and as a result the impact noise can be reduced.

Thus, the loads are shared to increase the durability and length of service of the switch.
