A thin plate of a magnetic metal transversally extends in the housing so that secondary windings of the transformers are positioned above the plate and are separated from the primary windings of the transformers disposed below the plate.

    Abstract: A vacuum cleaner having a suction nozzle which is connected to the cleaner by means of a suction hose and an operating handle and a tubular shaft. An adjustment knob is mounted on the operating handle for varying the speed of the electric motor. The speed is controlled by a variable resistor which has electrical conductors arranged in the vacuum cleaner hose. The conductors are connected to a first coil which surrounds the end of the hose. A second coil in the vacuum cleaner surrounds the first coil concentrically and is connected to the electric control device for the vacuum cleaner.

    Abstract: An electric toothbrush housing contains a motor, a battery and a secondary coil coupled to charge the battery. An elongated magnetic core is disposed within that secondary coil. A well is defined in a base which receives a portion of the housing within which the secondary coil is positioned. In that base is a primary coil for inducing magnetic energy into the secondary coil. Disposed within the primary coil is an elongated stud of magnetic material. It is aligned axially with the core, so that respective end portions are mutually adjacent. One of those end portions is generally cup shaped and the other is formed and relatively oriented to nest within the first.
