  • Patent number: 11759054
Abstract: An electric deep cooker including a main body and cover adapted to fully enclose food therein that includes a plurality of main electric heating elements connected along the interior surfaces of the main body and cover and are adapted to uniformly heat and cook food through its entire outer surface from the outside in, and further includes an electric interior heating element attached to the cover and adapted to be placed within the food being cooked and thereby heat and cook the food from the inside out while the plurality of main heating elements heat and cook the food from the outside in, to thereby uniformly and properly heat and cook the food, and in a shorter amount of time, than prior art electric deep cookers, and without the need to rotate the food within the main body of the electric deep cooker.

  • Patent number: 4973933
Abstract: An integral infinite switch is provided for controlling a first coil and a second coil of a radiant heating element. The integral infinite switch includes a first switch assembly for opening and closing an electrical path between a first AC electrical line L1 and a first end of the first coil. The first AC electrical line L1 is directly connected to a first end of the second coil. The integral infinite switch includes a second switch assembly for opening and closing an electrical path between a second AC electrical line L2 and a second opposite end of both the first coil and the second coil. A spindle is rotatable between an OFF position, a first range of ON positions for the second coil and a second range of ON positions for the first coil and the second coil. A cam member is mounted on the spindle for rotation with the spindle.

  • Patent number: 4283701
Abstract: A thermostat assembly to control heat to an iron soleplate, includes a bimetal blade on a soleplate boss responding to the heat thereto to make and break the electric circuit. To this standard construction an improved thermostat assembly uses a slot in the bimetal blade adjacent its free end, the slot extending partially across the blade at right angles to the longitudinal axis with a second compensating blade deforming in the opposite direction and secured to the first blade between the slot and free end with the axes of deformation of the blades oriented at right angles to each other such that the cross slot provides delay in heat conduction so the contacts first open at a lower main blade temperature than subsequent openings to reduce overshooting of the temperature in the iron soleplate.
