Abstract: The present drying drum includes a roller supported drum jacket which is connected at one end thereof to a drive shaft by means of radially extending arms whereby the drive shaft extends coaxially with the rotational axis of the drum jacket. The drive means proper are guided relative to said drive shaft by guide means forming part of the drive shaft itself or either by a bearing surface forming part of a spur gear connected to the drive shaft. The drive means are further connected through a guide rod with an abutment means for taking up the drive reaction.
Abstract: A food cooking machine comprises a generally cylindrical vessel having liquid impervious walls, a closed end and an open end. A removable cap having a central axial vent opening closes the open end. The vessel is detachably supported on a base having a drive means engageable with the vessel for rotating the vessel about an axis substantially aligned with the vent opening and oriented between horizontal and an acute angle to horizontal and with the capped end of the vessel at least as elevated as the other end thereof. External heating means are provided for applying heat to the vessel contents through the vessel walls during rotation. The temperature in the vessel is selectively regulated by means of a temperature controller having a temperature sensing probe supported on the base in alignment with the vent opening in such manner that the opening is not blocked nor vessel rotation impeded.
Abstract: An apparatus for impregnating and drying a material containing an inflammable organic liquid by igniting and burning the liquid from the material, consisting of an impregnating means, an enclosed burning chamber having at one end an inlet for the material to be dried, a combustion air inlet and an ignition means for igniting the inflammable organic liquid and having at an other end transport means for drawing the material through the chamber, an outlet means for hot combustion gases and an outlet means for dried material.

Abstract: This invention relates to an electrolytic treatment drum of the type suspended by a drive pulley. This drum comprises a double-flanged wheel in which passes the suspension and drive belt, this drum comprising an inwardly opening door, of which the axis is fast with an arm provided with a catch, which, during rotation, is pushed by the belt into one of two notches according to the direction of rotation, opening or closing the door.
Abstract: A baffle for an automatic clothes dryer of a rotating drum type is adjustable in height to compensate for differences in load characteristics and to provide optimum tumbling characteristics for different kinds of loads.
