Using Agitation Or Mixing Patents (Class 34/354)
  • Patent number: 10710898
Abstract: A method of filtering fluid for injection into an injection well comprises detecting a fluid pressure in a conduit upstream of an actuator valve, verifying that the fluid pressure is within an operating pressure range, opening an actuator valve based on the verifying, receiving a fluid having suspended solids within a filter assembly in response to opening the actuator valve, actuating a pump in fluid communication with the filter assembly based on receiving the fluid within the filter assembly, and separating at least a portion of the suspended solids in the fluid within the filter assembly.

  • Publication number: 20140259726
Abstract: A method for drying a seal material for use in manufacturing an ignition device, e.g., a spark plug. A free-flowing or loose seal material having a moisture content is provided and brought together with a desiccant for a time sufficient to produce a dry seal material by reducing the moisture content of the loose seal material to a desired level. Thereafter, the dry seal material and the desiccant may be separated from one another so that the dry seal material can be used to form a seal within an internal bore of a spark plug.

  • Publication number: 20140190036
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for drying coal using activated alumina. The method and system dries the coal by combining coal with the activated alumina. While in combination, the mixture is agitated to maximize surface contact between the activated alumina and the coal. As the coal contact the activated alumina, the surfactant moisture on the coal is then absorbed by the activated alumina. The activated alumina allow for the water molecules to pass into the sieves, thus being removed from the coal. After a period of agitation, the method and system thereby separates the activated alumina and the coal.

  • Publication number: 20130247408
Abstract: Disclosed is a process of stabilizing spent filter material that comprises mixing the filter media with a city media to produce a composition having a moisture content that is sufficiently low to retard microbial growth. The composition comprises spent filter media and a dry material, and preferably comprises diatomaceous earth. Soil is treated by adding the composition as a top dressing, soil amendment, or the like.

  • Publication number: 20040040173
Abstract: A method for drying a granular solid, the finely divided solid to be dried being mixed with zeolite granules, after which drying takes place by removal of water from the solid. The solid dried by removal of moisture is then separated from the zeolite. According to the invention, the solid to be dried is dried in a mixer without external supply of heat, after which the dried solid is at least virtually completely separated from the zeolite granules after a residence time in the mixer. This is advantageous in particular when drying foods, such as wheat flour.

  • Patent number: 5724751
Abstract: A method of drying organic or inorganic material or a mixture thereof, said material containing a liquid or liquids, which comprises introducing said material interiorly of a rotating rotor carrying on its periphery oscillating rotor blades, said rotor rotating about the axis of a process chamber having an inner surface with substantially axially extending ribs, said rotating rotor causing the material introduced interiorly of said rotor to be propelled radially outwardly of said axis of rotation and to expel liquid or liquids from said materials, and the oscillating rotor blades and the opposing ribs causing vibrational forces and turbulence to be induced into the outwardly flowing liquid so as to form a mist. Apparatus for carrying out said method is also described.
