  • Patent number: 11359862
Abstract: A method of sequestering carbon captured from the atmosphere by plants (biomass) waste material includes segregating incoming waste material that includes biomass into high-moisture incoming waste material and low-moisture incoming waste material. The low-moisture incoming waste material is that which has a moisture content less than or equal to the moisture content threshold, for example, paper, cardboard, and sawdust. The low-moisture incoming waste material is stored in a dry containment area, thereby emissions of carbon dioxide or methane from the low-moisture incoming waste material is reduced as moisture is required by such material to decompose.

  • Patent number: 10283396
Abstract: Techniques herein provide a workpiece holder that can hold relatively flexible and thin workpieces for transport and electrochemical deposition while avoiding electroplating fluid wetting contacts or contact regions of a given workpiece. A workpiece holder frame holds a workpiece by gripping the workpiece on opposing sides of the workpiece. A flexure structure is used for clamping a given workpiece and for providing an electrical path for supplying a current to the workpiece. An elastomer covering provides sealing and insulation of the electrical flexure structure. The workpiece holder also provides tension to the workpiece to help hold the workpiece flat during processing. Each flexure structure can provide an independent electrical path to the workpiece surface.

The blower system may also include an air compressor to force air into the blower air plenum and out the vent to form the airstream flowing across the surface of the antenna.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for drying floors and carpets using a fan for generating a pressurized air stream within a vertical cylindrical shroud that is spaced two to five inches away from the floor on a set of legs such that an opening is formed between the shroud and the floor. The air stream is directed along the cylindrical shroud vertically toward the floor. At least a peripheral portion of the air stream is exhausted from the shroud in a substantially laminar flow at an angle that is inclined from the vertical and is exhausted radially into ambient air as a substantially laminar air stream.

Abstract: Vaporizable material is supported within a vessel to promote contact of an introduced gas with the vaporizable material, and produce a product gas including vaporized material. A heating element supplies heat to a wall of the vessel to heat vaporizable material disposed therein. The vessel may comprise an amoule having a removable top. Multiple containers defining multiple material support surfaces may be stacked disposed within a vessel in thermal communication with the vessel. A tube may be disposed within the vessel and coupled to a gas inlet. Filters, flow meters, and level sensors may be further provided. Product gas resulting from contact of introduced gas with vaporized material may be delivered to atomic layer deposition (ALD) or similar process equipment. At least a portion of source material including a solid may be dissolved in a solvent, followed by removal of solvent to yield source material (e.g., a metal complex) disposed within the vaporizer.

Abstract: A clothes dryer has a drying drum with an airflow inlet and a motor for rotating the drum. A blower rotated by a fan motor flows air into, through, and out the drum. A refresh or touch-up de-wrinkle course is selected via a signal input on a control panel. Steam is supplied to the drum by a steam generating device, and heated air from a heater is supplied via the inlet. A controller operates the steam device and heater, in response to the course being selected, to supply to the drum a plurality of steam pulses of at least one first predetermined time and a heated air pulse after each steam pulse. Heated air pulses between steam pulses are intermediate pulses of at least one second predetermined time to reduce condensation in the dryer and the final pulse of heated air is of a duration to dry articles.

Abstract: A device and process for conveniently removing wrinkles from dried clothes. The inventive device includes an outer shell enclosing a core of water absorbent material. The device may be spherical, cubic, or be in other regular or irregular geometric shapes, having a finish that would not damage or affect the tumbling of clothes in the dryer. The foam material in the shell is saturated with water prior to tossing into the clothes dryer with the clothes to be de-wrinkled. Moisture from the foam material in the shell is introduced into the dryer chamber from the dryer heat, which relaxes wrinkles on clothing.
