  • Patent number: 9013270
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling access by a series of users to a space and/or particular service. The method includes the following steps for each of the users: requesting access to the space and/or service by the user, issuing an access authorization or denial; opening of an access to the space or the service, if an access authorization was issued; estimating a waiting period prior to accessing the space and/or service when the opening is delayed; and issuing to the user at least one piece of information representative of the waiting period. The estimation step takes account of a number of users having already passed through the access and still waiting in the space and/or the service.

  • Patent number: 8803705
Abstract: A traffic management system includes a data processing unit which communicates with a road leading unit and a vehicle management unit. The road leading unit comprises a plurality of grooves and isolation railings, the grooves are formed on a road, and the isolation railings are received in the grooves and can be opened to divide the road. The data processing unit can receive vehicle identification information and driving direction information from the vehicle management unit. The data processing unit comprises a data analysis module and a control module. The data analysis module is operable to estimate road condition information and count a total traffic demand index for each road according to the vehicle identification information and the driving direction information. The control module is operable to control the isolation railings to open or retract according to the total traffic demand index.

  • Patent number: 8258933
Abstract: The present invention provides parking guidance methods for a vehicle, which comprises: calculating an estimated backward track of the vehicle from a current steering angle detected by a steering angle sensor; calculating an estimated parking space from the estimated backward track and a relative angle inputted by a driver through an input means; converting coordinates of the calculated estimated backward track and estimated parking space into image coordinates; synthesizing the converted image coordinates with an image acquired by a camera provided at the rear of the vehicle; and displaying the synthesized image on a monitor of the vehicle. The methods enhances driver's convenience and safety in the event of back-in perpendicular parking.

  • Patent number: 8149138
Abstract: A manually operated traffic barrier gate which may economically installed and maintained, and easily operated by a single individual during emergency or other critical situations. One embodiment comprises a permanently mounted barrier gate movable from a retracted, upright position to lowered position extended to bridge a preselected traffic path, wherein the gate is counterbalanced to stay in the upright position until deployed, and to be balanced to stay in the deployed state when extended. The barrier gate are operable by one person and includes locking devices to maintain their stored upright or deployed lowered position. A further embodiment of the present invention provides a dual mobile gate which may be towed singly or in a chain (dual gate one behind the other), in a retracted length to the desired location, and thereafter be disconnected from the towing vehicle and left at the site to be deployed in an extended manner or retracted and moved as needed.

  • Publication number: 20080150760
Abstract: The invention relates to an, in particular, optical traffic signal column composed of stacked levels and fixed to one another by rotation. The base of each level has, distributed along its periphery, oblong passages (12) and fixed connectors (30). The conductors (20) are rods each having two ends (21, 23) angularly offset from one another, and the common rod (20C) is identical to the other rods (20A). The connectors are identical and they respectively fix the bottom (23) of a rod (20) of the relevant level and the top (21) of the respective rod of an adjacent level, the angular offset between the two fixing points corresponding to that of the ends of a rod. The connectors (30) and the rods (20A, 20C) are mutually arranged and mounted in order to effect, from one level to the other, an essentially identical angular positioning of the common rods and an angular offset of the other rods.
