  • Patent number: 11676311
Abstract: A method for replicating interfaces in augmented reality for missing devices is provided. A processor identifies an expected position pattern of one or more wearable devices in conjunction with an augmented reality device based on an expected usage pattern of a user. A processor compares a current position pattern of the one or more wearables user to the expected position pattern. In response to the current position pattern not matching the expected position pattern, a processor retrieves an overlay corresponding to a use case indicated by the expected usage pattern. A processor renders the overlay in the augmented reality device, where the overlay is rendered in the expected position pattern for the one or more wearable devices relative to a view of the augmented reality device.

Abstract: A method is provided for selecting a transmit link in a bonding group. Traffic is distributed to the links based on a selection method. Typical selection methods for bonded links of the same type include round robin or weighted round robin. A method is disclosed including selecting from among bonded links of different types based on link priority or link-to-group backpressure, sometimes both, and in some cases also based on traffic class. Link priority is based on the reliability, or quality, of the link. Adding link priority, and optionally traffic class, into the selection method allows high priority traffic to be always transported over high quality links. Also, considering the link-to-group backpressure, such as based on congestion status of operational links, or active links, will help avoid link congestion. The method is relevant to Quality of Service (QoS) implementation in transportation systems used for mobile backhaul or carrier access networks.

The associating unit generates association information for a plurality of characteristic portions contained in a content by referring to priority orders of the respective characteristic portions relative to each other, the association information associating each of the characteristic portions individually with a predetermined operation key of an input device included in the apparatus in accordance with the priority orders. The playback unit plays back, in response to detecting an operation of an operation key during display of the content, the characteristic portion corresponding to the operation key in an expanded display mode, in accordance with the association information.

Abstract: A projector includes a superimposed image projection unit that projects a projection image generated based on a video signal superimposing a predetermined superimposed image on the projection image, and a signal controller that detects variation in a projection area of the projection image based on the video signal. The superimposed image projection unit modifies a projection position of the superimposed image in accordance with the variation in the projection area of the projection image detected by the signal controller, determines whether the superimposed image has a part that is selected in the superimposed image before the variation, adjusts a display position of the selected part based on variation amount of the projection position of the superimposed image, and projects the adjusted superimposed image so as to display the selected part differently from other parts of the superimposed image.

Abstract: A method and/or system of scaling images by providing a horizontal macroblock scaler with pixels of the images in units of macroblocks and a vertical macroblock scaler where the pixels of the output image are in units of macroblocks. For the horizontal macroblock scaler macroblocks decoded or vertically scaled are read into the horizontal scaler to generate horizontally scaled macroblocks of pixels. The horizontal scaler need not access data stored in a memory, which reduces the memory bandwidth need for scaling the image. For the vertical macroblock scaler macroblocks decoded or horizontally scaled are read into the vertical scaler from memory to generate vertical scaled macroblocks of pixel. The output of the vertical scaler can be sent directly to an encoder without going through memory first, which reduces the memory bandwidth need for scaling the image.

Abstract: Methods and devices provide an efficient user interface for providing continuous zoom or magnification of a displayed image on a computing device. A user may initiate a zoom-in or zoom-out function by tracing an ellipsoidal shape (e.g., a circle) using a user interface device, such as a touchscreen, touchpad or mouse. The zoom function continues so long as a touchscreen or touchpad are touched, or a mouse button is depressed, and an ellipsoidal path is traced. Zoom-in or magnification scaling factor may be applied to an image in response to a clockwise path trace and a zoom-out or demagnification scaling factor may be applied to an image in response to a clockwise path trace, or vice versa. A visual aid may be presented on the display that may be followed to conduct the zoom function.
