Performance Of Multiple Functions Of Steam And Gas Engines Patents (Class 346/3)
  • Patent number: 11037036
Abstract: Examples include a fluidic die. The fluidic die may comprise an array of fluid actuators, an actuation data register, a mask register, and actuation logic. The actuation data register may store actuation data that indicates fluid ejectors to actuate for a set of actuation events. The mask register may store mask data that indicates a set of fluid actuators enabled for actuation for a respective actuation event of the set of actuation events. The actuation logic may electrically actuate a subset of the fluid actuators based at least in part on the actuation data register and the mask register for the respective actuation event.

Abstract: A printer protects at least one ejector, which is configured to form an object, from contact with the object. The printer includes the at least one ejector, a member, and a protection device. The protection device includes a shield configured to be moved between a stored position at which the shield is not interposed between the at least one ejector and the object, and a deployed position at which the shield is interposed between the at least one ejector and the object. The shield can be moved from the stored position toward the deployed position in response to contact between a projection of the protection device and the object.

  • Patent number: 10252542
Abstract: A printing system is provided. The printing system includes a medium of fabric; and a printing apparatus for performing printing of a design represented by a target color which is preset on the medium by an inkjet method. The printing apparatus includes an inkjet head for discharging an ink droplet of a target color ink which is an ink that is adjusted to present the target color on the medium. The design is formed by a plurality of patterns. Each of the plurality of patterns is drawn with the target color ink of only one color used in the inkjet head, and the inkjet head discharges the ink droplet to the plurality of patterns at a constant concentration which is preset for each of a plurality of target colors. The medium allows the ink not absorbed by the medium to reach a back surface of the medium.

  • Patent number: 10046570
Abstract: A filter device for filtering ink for delivery to at least one drop forming unit of a print-head in a printing apparatus includes: an inlet for admission of ink to the filter device; a first filter member adjacent the inlet for filtering the ink as the ink enters the filter device; a collection chamber arranged below the first filter member for collecting the ink after the ink passes through the first filter member; and an outlet for delivering the ink from the collection chamber to a reservoir for supplying the at least one drop forming unit. The collection chamber includes at least one flow directing member defining at least one predetermined flow path, especially at least one circuitous or indirect flow path, for the ink through and/or around the collection chamber to the outlet.

  • Patent number: 9390354
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of printing a transformed image corresponding to a source image. The method determines at least a first scale factor to upscale the source image to generate the transformed image, the first scale factor being at a first mathematical precision. The source image is enlarged along at least one edge of said source image edges and pixel data is copied along the source image edges into the enlarged area of the enlarged source image. The method maps each pixel of the transformed image back to a corresponding pixel into the enlarged source image including the copied pixel data along the edge of the source image. The method may determine a second scale factor, the second scale factor being at a second mathematical precision, wherein each pixel of the transformed image is mapped back to a corresponding pixel in the enlarged source image using the second scale factor.

  • Patent number: 4795622
Abstract: A silicon halide, preferably SiCl.sub.4, is reacted with an excess of a base, e.g. a Lewis base or Bronsted base with steric hindrance group to produce an adduct. The adduct, which need not be separated, is treated with ammonia gas to produce the imide of silicon. A light organic solvent is used. The temperature used is -78.degree. C. to 100.degree. C. and the reaction is rapid.Byproduct ammonium halide is removed, and the imide is heated at 1000.degree. C. to 1600.degree. C. in an oven in an atmosphere containing nitrogen, to produce silicon nitride of good sintering characteristics and more than 70 wt % of which is of the .alpha.-crystal form.

  • Patent number: 4782691
Abstract: A tachograph includes stylus recorder (4,5,6) responsive to a signal related to engine speed for recording an indication of the engine speed on a chart (1). The stylus recorder is conditioned to provide a bar trace having different and readily distinguishable levels. Each level represents a threshold of engine speed which indicates that the engine speed is at or below the respective threshold and within a predetermined range. Threshold selector (8 or 9) are provided for adjusting the relationship between the levels and the predetermined thresholds so that the bar trace levels stay substantially the same but represent engine speed thresholds which are adjustably predetermined by the threshold selector.

  • Patent number: 4010442
Abstract: Seismometer group recorders amplify and make reproducible recordings of one or more seismometers employed in geophysical prospecting. There is no recording of the various groups at the controller instrument truck, as is common in the prior art. The operator needs assurance prior to collecting data through such recorders that the selectively activated group recorders (always considerably less than the total number placed in the field) are ready for the recording. This disclosure describes means for accomplishing such a status display which identifies those group recorders which have been turned on by the radio transmission system or equivalent, verifying that as to each recorder there is available recording medium, proper switching on of the power source, etc.
