Housing Or Mounting Patents (Class 347/222)
  • Patent number: 7993065
Abstract: A printer is disclosed having a media unit which can move relative to a printing unit. Until now, difficulties in aligning the media unit in the printer always resulted in a poor printing quality. To rectify this, the disclosed printer provides that the printing unit is designed so that it can move inside the housing, and elements are provided for aligning the printing unit with the media unit so that the printing unit and the media unit can be aligned with one another when the media unit is pushed in the direction of insertion. A resilient element enables the printing unit to be advantageously tensioned, in a manner that equalizes tolerances, against the support of the media unit in an operating position. This enables an advantageous equalization of work tolerances and positional tolerances, and the position of the print head relative to the medium to be printed.

Abstract: A size-reduced printer that conveys a recording sheet in a circulating manner along a ring-like conveyance path while printing a plurality of images on the recording sheet in different colors sequentially in a superimposed manner, thereby forming a full color image. When a ribbon cassette that contains a multi-color ink ribbon is loaded at a predetermined position within a printer housing, a ring-like conveyance path is formed between the ribbon cassette and the printer housing. While the thermal head is driven and the recording sheet is conveyed once in a circulating manner along the conveyance path, a one-color image is printed on a previous printed one-color image in a superimposed manner in a corresponding one of the different color inks of the multi-color ink ribbon, thereby forming a full color image finally.

Abstract: A tachograph has a cubic housing and a printing device having a thermal print head, a feed roller driven by a drive mechanism and a carrier movable out of the housing to reload a ribbon which forms a stock of printing material. Locking means lock and unlock the carrier in a closed position in the housing. A latch element is mounted rotatably on the carrier and subjected to an action of a tension spring. A snap-in hook of the latch element is associated with a snap-in member in a fixed position. An actuating arm is formed with the latch element, and a pushbutton is configured to be in operative connection with the actuating arm and mounted displaceably on the carrier. A fixed stop associated with the actuating arm disengages the latch element from the snap-in member when the pushbutton is actuated, and displaces the carrier in a direction of an insertion position when the actuating arm is supported on the stop.

Abstract: The printing apparatus comprises a first detachable unit U1, a second detachable unit U2, and a main body unit U5 formed such that the first and second detachable units U1 and U2 are detachably mounted thereto. When a unit fixing means 33 provided on a head unit U3 of the main body unit rotates in a clockwise direction to be laid horizontally and then a boss 36 is fitted into a concave portion 33A, the head unit U3 and a pinch roller unit U4 are connected to each other through the unit fixing means. The first detachable unit is pressed by a left end of the unit fixing means, and the second detachable unit is pressed by a right end of the unit fixing means. As a result, it is possible to prevent the first and second detachable units from separating from the main body unit forward. In addition, when the unit fixing means is rotated in a counterclockwise direction to be upwardly constructed, the first detachable unit U1 and the second detachable unit U2 can be mounted detachably to the main body unit.

  • Patent number: 7154521
Abstract: A thermal printer detachably connected to a portable type terminal equipment. The printer has a printer cover including upper and lower covers hinged together. A printer head is arranged in the body of the portable type terminal equipment, and a platen is arranged in the upper cover. The platen is usually held in the upper cover but can be released from it when undesirable force is applied to it. Therefore, a straight line connecting the platen shaft to the hinge shaft is generally parallel to the bottom surface of the portable type terminal equipment and the printer head is generally perpendicular to the straight line, so that a pressure applied by the printer head to the platen is reduced.
