Computer Can Control Camera Patents (Class 348/207.11)
  • Patent number: 9445012
Abstract: A camera controller device of the present technique includes a switching operation unit for switching a camera to be controlled, an adjuster for adjusting adjustment elements of a camera to be controlled, and a controller for controlling the entire device. The adjuster has a start point and an end point of an adjustment range. The controller compares a setting value of the adjustment element of the camera before switching with a setting value of the adjustment element of the camera after switching, and when both the setting values do not match with each other, the controller prohibits an operation of the cameras until the setting value of the adjustment element of the camera after switching matches with a setting value set by the adjuster.

Abstract: Real-time access by a requestor to surveillance video is conditionally pre-authorized dependent on the existence of at least one pre-specified automatically detectable condition, and recorded in a data processing system. A requestor subsequently requests real-time access to the surveillance video (e.g., as a result of an alarm), and if the pre-specified automatically detectable condition is met, access is automatically granted, i.e., without the need for manual intervention. An automatically detectable condition could, e.g., be an alarm condition detected by a sensor at the site of the video surveillance. Alternatively, it could be a locational proximity of the requestor to the site of the video surveillance. Alternatively, it could be a previously defined time interval.

Abstract: A lens structure includes an elastomer formed as a lens. The lens has a planar surface and a curved surface opposed to the planar surface. The elastomer of the lens structure may be formed of a base polymer polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) material. When the lens structure is applied proximate to a camera sensor array of an electronic device, such as a cell phone or a tablet, the combination can function as microscope. By altering parameters of the lens, such as the radius of curvature, it is possible to achieve a wide range of magnification.

Abstract: A display control section causes a display section to display an image corresponding to imaging data generated by an imaging element before the wireless reception of imaging data which is wirelessly transmitted from a camera is started, and causes the display section to display an image corresponding to imaging data which is wirelessly received after the wireless reception of the imaging data which is wirelessly transmitted from the camera is started. A parameter generating section generates imaging parameters when an instruction for the imaging parameters is input in a state where the image corresponding to the imaging data generated by the imaging element is displayed on the display section. A communication control section causes a wireless communication circuit section to wirelessly transmit the imaging parameters generated by the parameter generating section to the camera, and to wirelessly receive the imaging data wirelessly transmitted from the camera.

  • Patent number: 8896709
Abstract: A method and system for image and metadata management are described in which a server may communicate with multiple cameras from a single photographic session or shoot. The server may receive a digital image from one of the cameras and may attach metadata to the digital image. The digital image may also have embedded metadata as a result of the image capture process in the camera. The attached metadata may comprise session-specific metadata created in connection with the photographic session and stored in the server prior to the digital image being received. The attached metadata may comprise location-specific metadata that may be provided to the server by a photographer through a wireless device. The server may transmit the digital image and its metadata to one or both of a social media outlet and a website. The server may enable an approval and selection process of the digital image for transmission.

Abstract: A system includes a portable electrical device and an external entity. The portable device includes: a wireless transceiver; a screen; a digital camera; a user interface and a processing unit. The external entity includes: a wireless transceiver; a memory with identification data about medical monitoring devices and a processing arrangement. The processing unit acquires medical-monitoring-device-specific data as a plug-in from the external entity and configures an image capturing application of the portable electrical device with the medical-monitoring-device-specific data. The digital camera captures an image of the screen of the medical monitoring device under control of the configured image capturing application in the processing unit, the screen displaying a medical test result of a person or an animal. The portable electrical device transmits the image through the wireless transceiver to the external entity.
