Abstract: A method, system, computer-readable medium and data structure are provided for processing image data in connection with image recognition. A response of an image (FIG. 6 element 210) to a basis tensor can be determined after the image is applied thereto. The image response can be flattened (FIG. 6 element 220). A coefficient vector may be extracted from the image response (FIG. 6 element 230). The extracted coefficient vector may be compared to a plurality of different parameters stored in coefficient rows of a matrix (FIG. 6 element 240).

Abstract: The invention relates to an accessory part for a mobile station. In order to facilitate the use of the mobile station, it is proposed that the accessory part comprises a headset 8, 9 as well as a digital camera 3. Both can be connected simultaneously via a connector 1 of the accessory part to a mobile station. Thus, a user only has to handle a single accessory part in order to make use of two different functions enabled by a mobile station. The invention equally relates to a mobile station with which such an accessory part can be employed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a signal processing apparatus and method, a recording medium, and a program, in which a more preferable class can be easily selected. A region extracting unit 151 extracts a class tap from an input composite video signal, and pattern detecting units 152 to 154 detect patterns for classes by using different predetermined methods. A class-code determining unit 155 determines a class based on information from an evaluation table 156, and a coefficient memory 157 supplies a predictive coefficient corresponding to the class to a predictive computing unit 159. The predictive computing unit 159 performs predictive computing based on a predictive tap supplied from a region extracting unit 158 and the predictive coefficient supplied from the coefficient memory 157, so that a component Y signal is generated and is output therefrom. The present invention can be applied to a television receiver.
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present invention include a method for creating a user metric pattern. Such embodiments typically include receiving, within the network, a plurality of disparate user metrics, determining that the plurality of disparate user metrics received within the network do not match a predetermined metric pattern, and saving the plurality of disparate user metrics as a new metric pattern. In many embodiments, determining that the plurality of disparate user metrics received within the network do not match a predetermined metric pattern includes comparing the plurality of disparate user metrics with a plurality of metrics associated with the predetermined metric pattern.

Abstract: A moving picture synthesizing device includes a code string analyzer for analyzing the header information of moving picture code strings used for synthesis. A picture information generator is also included for generating header information of synthesized moving picture code string for describing the synthesized moving picture to be generated by using the analyzed result. In addition, a code string rewriting part is included for rewriting the display position information described in the moving picture code strings used for synthesis. Adequate header information corresponding to the synthesized moving picture is generated by a simple computation, and the moving picture code strings for describing the synthesized moving picture efficiently is generated without decoding the moving picture code strings used for synthesis.
