With Charge Transfer Within The Image-sensor, E.g., Time Delay And Integration (epo) Patents (Class 348/E3.023)
  • Patent number: 11360028
Abstract: Super resolution and color motion artifact correction in a pulsed hyperspectral, fluorescence, and laser mapping imaging system. A method includes actuating an emitter to emit pulses of electromagnetic radiation and sensing reflected electromagnetic radiation with a pixel array of an image sensor. The method includes detecting motion across two or more sequential exposure frames, compensating for the detected motion, and combining the two or more sequential exposure frames to generate an image frame. The method is such that at least a portion of the pulses of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the emitter comprises one or more of: electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength from about 513 nm to about 545 nm, from about 565 nm to about 585 nm, from about 900 nm to about 1000 nm, an excitation wavelength of electromagnetic radiation that causes a reagent to fluoresce, or a laser mapping pattern.

  • Patent number: 9971140
Abstract: In the image capturing apparatus, the optical path difference producing member is disposed on the second optical path. Thereby, at the second imaging device, it is possible to suppress the amount of light on image pickup of an optical image which is focused at the front of an optical image made incident into the first imaging device (front focus) and on image pickup of an optical image which is focused at the rear thereof (rear focus) and also to secure the amount of light on image pickup by the first imaging device. Further, in the image capturing apparatus, based on a scanning velocity v of the stage and an interval d between the first imaging region and the second imaging region, a waiting time is set from image pickup at the first imaging region to image pickup at the second imaging region. As a result, light from the same position of the sample is made incident into the first imaging region and the second imaging region. Thus, it is possible to control a focus position at high accuracy.

Thereby, the amount of light on imaging an optical image which is focused at the front of an optical image made incident into the first imaging device (front focus) and an optical image which is focused at the rear thereof (rear focus) by the second imaging device can be suppressed to secure the amount of light on image pickup by the first imaging device. Further, in the image capturing apparatus, the first imaging region and the second imaging region on the imaging area of the second imaging device are positioned on the front side of the imaging area in a scanning direction of the sample with respect to the region into which an optical image is made incident which is conjugate to the first optical image made incident into the first imaging device. Thereby, it is possible to obtain in advance a deviation direction of a focus position of the objective lens by a simple constitution.

  • Patent number: 9402042
Abstract: A method for operating a focal plane array in a Time Delay Integration (TDI) mode, the method including: shifting a number of rows during TDI integration, wherein the number of rows shifted is less than a total number of rows of the focal plane array; and reading out a number of rows equal to the total number of rows of the focal plane array minus the number of rows shifted, leaving behind the partially-integrated rows.
