Abstract: A method for aligning film sheets and rectangular panels in a continuous manufacturing system of display panels, each of the film sheets being formed between two longitudinally adjacent slit lines, one on an upstream side and the other on a downstream side, and extending in a transverse direction with respect to a feeding direction of a strip shaped film laminate, such that the rectangular panels conveyed to the lamination position are overlapped with the film sheets conveyed to the lamination position. The method includes steps of; angularly adjusting the rectangular panel conveyed to the lamination position such that a center line extending in the feeding direction of the rectangular panels is parallel to the center line extending in the feeding direction of the film sheets conveyed to the lamination position; and position adjusting the angularly adjusted rectangular panels by shifting for a displacement from a position of the film sheets conveyed to the lamination position.

Abstract: An apparatus is for use in a display device having a defective signal line with a defect that isolates a first signal line portion from a second signal line portion of the defective signal line. The apparatus includes a signal driver that has a driver output terminal electrically connected to the first signal line portion, and a first repair buffer having an input terminal and an output terminal. A repair line is electrically connected to the output terminal of the first repair buffer. The input terminal of the first repair buffer is initially electrically isolated from the defective signal line. To repair the defective signal line, the input terminal of the first repair buffer is electrically connected to the defective signal line to enable a signal from the signal driver to travel through the first repair buffer over the repair line to the second signal line portion of the defective signal line.

Abstract: A manufacturing method of a liquid crystal panel 10 includes a panel manufacturing process, a substrate detachment process and a reuse-panel manufacturing process. A first liquid crystal panel 10A and a second liquid crystal panel 10B, which differ from each other in position of a sealant portion 20A, 20B to be formed thereon, are manufactured by the panel manufacturing process. Substrates 17, 18 are detached from a defective liquid crystal panel, i.e., from any one of the first liquid crystal panel 10A and the second liquid crystal panel 10B having a defect, by the substrate detachment process. The reuse-panel manufacturing process manufactures a third liquid crystal panel 10C by attaching the substrate 18A detached from the first liquid crystal panel 10A and the substrate 17B detached from the second liquid crystal panel 10B to each other.

Abstract: Pixel electrodes in a liquid crystal panel extend to cover the entire pixel regions. The light leakage is generated only on two sides of the pixel region due to the uncontinuous alignment of liquid crystal molecules when the liquid crystal panel is driven by dot inversion. Therefore, in the present invention, light-shielding layer is formed on only the corresponding region of the TFT substrate. The aperture ratio of the liquid crystal panel according to the present invention can increase and the light-shielding layer can be employed to repair the gate lines and data lines.
