Patent number: 4593985Abstract: An automatic photographing device for a video camera which permits the photographer to enter the picture before the picture recording operation is started and times the picture recording operation to automatically stop after a predetermined period of time. The output of a trigger switch is applied through serially connected first and second timer sections. The first timer section establishes a delay time after the trigger switch is turned on until the picture recording operation commences, while the second timer section establishes the picture recording time. The output of the second timer section controls the operation of the recording device of a photographing section. Further, a display device is provided for indicating distinctively that the delay mode is in effect or that the picture photographing operation is in effect.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1984Date of Patent: June 10, 1986Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Tadashi Minakuchi

Patent number: 4183635Abstract: A motor driving the shutter of a motion-picture camera is intermittently energizable under the control of two time-constant networks triggering respective pulse generators of the one-shot type, the first time-constant network including a photoresistor to measure an exposure interval dependent upon luminous intensity, the second time-constant network being adjustable to establish a selected recurrence period. With the shutter arrested in an unblocking position at the start of an operating cycle, which coincides with the beginning of an exposure interval, a pulse from the first generator releases the shutter for movement into a blocking position until a pulse from the second generator restarts the cycle by letting the shutter return to its unblocking position.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 1978Date of Patent: January 15, 1980Assignee: Bolex International SAInventor: Franz Dorig

Patent number: 4132467Abstract: In a motion picture camera in which films of different length can be loaded, a film end indicating device is provided to indicate that the film has come to its end regardless of its length. The film end indicating device is comprised of an indicator and a plurality of end detectors attached to a footage counter in the camera to detect the end of the film of different length respectively. A change-over lever is provided between the indicator and the plurality of end detectors to selectively connect one of the detectors to the indicator according to the length of the film.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 1977Date of Patent: January 2, 1979Assignee: Fuji Photo Optical Co., Ltd.Inventor: Takashi Tobioka

Patent number: 4079398Abstract: A self-timer for cinecameras wherein an electric delay circuit is used for detecting a length of time from the release to the commencement of a photographing process which takes place with an electric power having been actually supplied to a film feeding motor. The amount of the rotation made by the film feeding motor from the start of the rotation of the motor is either mechanically or electrically detected. When the detected amount of rotation reaches a preset value corresponding to a number of frames of the film required for self-timer photographing, the motor is stopped to terminate the photographing operation, so that the photographing operation with the self-timer can be accomplished exactly for a preset number of frames.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 1975Date of Patent: March 14, 1978Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Toshikazu Ichiyanagi, Hideto Iwama, Noritsugu Hirata, Kazuo Ishikawa, Hidekazu Okajima, Masamichi Toyama, Mamoru Shimazaki, Tomoshi Takigawa

Patent number: 4057334Abstract: The present invention relates to a self-timer device for a motion picture camera which presents a second motor switch connected in series with the first motor switch to be closed by means of the release means at the time of the camera release, the first timer means including a governer mechanism for actually starting photographing, closing the second motor switch after the elapse of a certain determined time from the automatic photographing setting and the second timer means for stopping the camera release after the elapse of a certain determined time from the actual starting of photographing, so as to open the first motor switch and terminate the photographing. In this manner the first timer means is driven by means of a spring means as a driving source while the second timer means is driven by means of the camera driving motor as driving source and controls the timing of the start and stop of the photographing at the time of the automatic photographing.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 1976Date of Patent: November 8, 1977Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kazuo Ishikawa, Noritsugu Hirata, Tomoshi Takigawa, Yasutsugu Yamada

Patent number: 4046465Abstract: A self-timer device for a motion picture camera of the type having a first motor for driving a film feeding device and a shutter device and a second motor for driving other moving parts such as a zoom lens system. In the device, automatic photographing controlling means which is provided with cam portions for controlling the timing for starting and stopping the camera release operation is operated by the second motor. For photographing, an interlock arrangement between the second motor and the other moving parts which are to be driven by the motor is released while, at the same time, the cam portions of the controlling means are brought into a given relation to a camera release arrangement. This is done in such a manner that the timing for starting and stopping the camera release, i.e.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 1975Date of Patent: September 6, 1977Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Masamichi Toyama, Tomoshi Takigawa, Mamoru Shimazaki, Hidekazu Okajima, Toshikazu Ichiyanagi, Hideto Iwama

Patent number: 3995291Abstract: A circuit for use in connection with a motor driving device for a camera in which a timing circuit is provided. The timing circuit comprises a resistor and condensor and a switch for discharging the condensor. A second switch is provided in a series with the condensor and actuated by the camera release button to render the timing circuit inoperative in order to quickly ready the camera for additional use.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 1974Date of Patent: November 30, 1976Assignee: Konishiroku Photo Industry Co., Ltd.Inventor: Haruhiko Momose
