Patent number: 11691821Abstract: An egg conveyor for a poultry plant includes a chain of the closed-loop type with bars, for conveying eggs from one or more laying hen sheds to a collection location, assemblies for traction along the chain which are provided with a motor drive component, and a control unit for synchronization of the traction assemblies. The motor drive components each include at least one gearmotor provided at least with a corresponding servomotor. The method for synchronization of traction assemblies in the conveyor includes the following steps: detecting continuously and instantaneously the angular position and the number of bars at each traction assembly, and calculating continuously and instantaneously the average of all the torques at the traction assemblies and, if the number of bars is different from a set number, correcting the speed of each servomotor to obtain a constant torque on each traction assembly, which corresponds to the average.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2022Date of Patent: July 4, 2023Assignee: FLEXY SOCIETA' A RESPONSABILITA' LIMITATA CON SIGLIA FLEXY S.R.L.Inventor: Luca Finco

Patent number: 9036136Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting tape on a document are provided. In one embodiment, a method includes capturing a first image of a document. The first image is captured while at least a portion of the document is subjected to a first electromagnetic radiation. The method includes capturing a second image of the document. The second image is captured while at least a portion of the document is subjected to a second electromagnetic radiation. The method also includes comparing the first image to the second image to determine whether tape is adhered to the document.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2014Date of Patent: May 19, 2015Assignee: De La Rue North America Inc.Inventors: Alexander Parkov, Ronald Bruce Blair

Patent number: 8334970Abstract: A conveying device for conveying eggs comprises an endless conveyor provided with rollers extending transversely to the direction of conveyance. The rollers are arranged in pairs, and each pair of rollers forms an receiving space, in which an egg is accommodated in such a way that the egg rests on both rollers. The conveying device furthermore comprises a transfer device provided with a plurality of pick-up elements for picking up the eggs from a tray and placing the eggs on the conveyor. The pick-up elements on the transfer device can be moved from a first position in which they are positioned at a distance from each other corresponding to the distance between the individual eggs on the tray, viewed in the direction of conveyance, and a second position corresponding to the centre-to-centre distance between two receiving spaces.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2007Date of Patent: December 18, 2012Assignee: Staalkat International B.V.Inventors: Erik Jan Wildenbeest, Dirk Willem Wikkerink, Jan Willem Pennings

Patent number: 4872564Abstract: A method of checking eggs for flaws and blemishes, such as blood, dirt, cracks, a leak or aberrant form, in which the eggs, while located on a conveyor roller track, pass an inspection station, where the unwanted eggs are determined as such, with the information of the respective eggs being stored in a tracking memory (shift register), after which the unwanted eggs are discharged separately, whereby more in particular for a fast detection of flaws and blemishes, the eggs for for a short period be lifted off either of two bearing rollers of the conveyor roller track, and brought into contact with other rollers being driven at high peripheral speed, during which period the egg is sensed by a detector, which transmits the result of the sensing to the memory.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1988Date of Patent: October 10, 1989Assignee: Staalkat B.V.Inventor: Jelle van der Schoot
