  • Patent number: 11936837
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a memory and circuitry. The memory stores a colorimetric value of a gradation correction chart and environmental information each time of acquisition of the colorimetric value. The circuitry predicts an output characteristic of an image formed by the image forming apparatus based on the colorimetric value associated with particular environmental information among the environmental information stored in the memory, the particular environmental information being within a predetermined range with reference to current environmental information, when the image forming apparatus is to output the gradation correction chart. The circuitry adjusts the output characteristic of the image in a case that the predicted output characteristic is lower than a target output characteristic. The circuitry corrects a gradation correction table based on the colorimetric value of the gradation correction chart and the target output characteristic.

Abstract: Provided is an image forming system that reduce a paper jam. The system includes an image forming apparatus and a server to manage the image forming apparatus. A paper jam information receiving part in the server receives paper jam information transmitted from the image forming apparatus. A paper jam information analyzing part analyzes paper jam information. A paper jam information analyzing part generates feed-setting changing information when the feed number of the recording paper in the paper feed source where the paper jam occurred corresponds to a threshold and another paper feed source with same settings of a recording paper is present. Feed-setting changing information is information instructed to change into the respective paper feed source. A feed-setting changing information transmitting part transmits feed-setting changing information to the image forming apparatus.

Abstract: A scanner capable of executing a static calibration and a compensation value adjustment method therefor are disclosed. The scanner includes a calibration piece, a memory, an image capturing unit and a processing unit. The image capturing unit acquires an initial scanned pixel data. A compensation offset-ratio data having a first offset-ratio average is generated according to the initial scanned pixel data and a standard compensation data by the processing unit. Plural selected pixels are determined according to the compensation offset-ratio data, the first offset-ratio average and the predetermined compensation threshold value. A second offset-ratio average is obtained by removing the compensation offset-ratio values of the compensation offset-ratio data of the selected pixels. The initial scanned pixel data is transformed into a static compensation pixel data according to the second offset-ratio average and the standard compensation data.
