Synchronization Patents (Class 358/409)
  • Patent number: 11205365
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an image data transmission apparatus having synchronous data transmission mechanism. Output stage circuits respectively receive and store image data corresponding to a part of a display frame. A primary switch circuit is coupled to a primary output stage circuit of the output stage circuits so as to maintain a control voltage of a control terminal at a first level when a primary frame aligning signal having the latest timing is not received from the primary output stage circuit, and switches the control voltage to a second level when the primary frame aligning signal is received. The output stage circuits output the image data to an image data receiving apparatus to display the display frame synchronously when the output stage circuits receive the control voltage having the second level through voltage transmission paths having the same signal transmission time.

  • Patent number: 9148279
Abstract: An arrangement is described which reduces the number of phase locked loops (PLLs) required in a typical high speed serial interface system. A reference clock is sent from a transmitter on a main board to a receiver on a system board, which employs a PLL that also drives a transmitter on the system board. The transmitter on the system board transmits a data signal to a receiver on the main board which does not require a PLL. Rather, the receiver on the main board is clocked with a static-phase, master reference clock, and the phase of the reference clock sent from the main board is controlled so as to achieve synchronism of the data signal received by the main board receiver using the static-phase, master reference clock.

  • Patent number: 8218202
Abstract: Multiple images are combined where the images exhibit variations in illumination between one another. The images are of the same portion of an object, and each image is represented by a set of image data. A comparative data transform is applied to each set of image data, such that the transformed comparative image data isolates and preserves first variations in the illumination between the images but suppresses second differences in illumination between the images. At least one normalization transform is determined from the transformed comparative image data sets. When applied to at least one of the image data sets, the at least one normalization transform minimizes the variation in illumination between the image data sets. Each determined normalization transform is applied to the at least one of the image data sets. The normalized sets of image data are transformed to a single image of the portion of the object.

  • Patent number: 8116354
Abstract: A sync detection device and method for a GNSS receiver. In modernized GNSS, each satellite transmits a data signal and a pilot signal. Correlations are performed between a data symbol stream converted from the data signal with possible hypotheses to find a leading edge of a frame of the data signal (i.e. frame sync detection) and between a pilot symbol stream converted from the pilot signal with possible hypotheses to find a leading edge of a code sequence of the pilot signal (i.e. pilot sync detection). The possible hypotheses for the frame sync detection are selected according to a result of pilot sync detection when pilot sync is done. Frame sync can be efficiently achieved since a range of the selected possible hypotheses is quite limited.

Abstract: A printer control apparatus can be applied to an image forming apparatus in which a plurality of types of readers and a plurality of types of printers can be connected to a single controller, and which enables efficient transfer of image data from the reader to the printer via an image memory of the controller. The controller receives image data from a reader and temporarily stores the same in an image memory, and transmits the stored image data to a printer. The controller acquires a reader processing speed from the reader and a printer processing speed from the printer, and determines, while the image data is being written to the image memory, timing for transmitting the image data written in the memory to the printer according to a difference between the reader processing speed and the printer processing speed and a sub-scan size of the image data.

  • Publication number: 20100296128
Abstract: A method of improving the synchronization of the timing of a plurality of physically coupled print engines by detecting and eliminating misleading indications of a non-synchronized print engine that are essentially minimal variations caused by disturbances to the printer such as torque disturbances, power line voltage or frequency variations, etc. using a chosen number of consecutive changes in the time delay to result in the time delay of the receiver being handed off from one engine or module to a sequential engine or module before a machine error is declared. This method notes that a speed variation is sufficiently large or if a signal is reported that a module, operating within its speed specifications but near the end the limit of that specification, had been subjected to a small incremental change in module speed resulting in that module operating outside its specifications and takes corrective actions or not depending on the magnitude and or source of the variation.

  • Patent number: 7760392
Abstract: A synchronization system for an electrographic device comprises a laser driver that drives a laser source to emit a beam having an intensity that corresponds to a laser power control signal. The beam is swept across a light detector, which generates a detection signal based upon measured intensity, and a comparing device outputs a synchronization signal based upon a comparison of the detection signal with a control signal that corresponds to the laser power control signal. Alternatively, the detection signal may be compared with a reference signal where a programmable device scales at least one of the detection signal and the reference signal based upon the laser power control signal. The synchronization signal goes active in response to the laser beam in a sufficiently consistent manner regardless of the laser beam intensity by calibrating the sensitivity of the synchronization system based upon the control signal, which corresponds to the laser power control signal.
