Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for capturing an image within the context of a document. The computing device identifies an image field within the document displayed in a user interface (UI). The image field is operable to display live input received from a camera. In response to receiving a first input from a user selecting the image field of the document, the UI of the computing device displays the live input from the camera within the image field of the document in the context of other portions of the document displayed outside of the image field. Controls are provided by the computing device with which the user can adjust various characteristics of the live input. In response to receiving a second input from the user, the computing device captures the image from the live input displayed within the image field of the document.

  • Patent number: 8830546
Abstract: An image processor and an image processing method which can minimize variation of color tone or density in an image after screen processing, even if semi-transparency has been specified. The image processor generates semi-transparent image data by overlaying a semi-transparent object on the PDL data to be rendered semi-transparent. Subsequently, screen processing is performed on the semi-transparent image data, by dither processing. Subsequently it is determined whether or not to define the screen processed semi-transparent image data as the image data for printing. If the result of determination is No, the halftone value of the semi-transparent object is modified to be larger than the current value.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a composite image generator and a print controller. The composite image generator generates a composite image by superimposing, on a document image of a document represented by document data, two-dimensional code images individually corresponding to multiple document elements included in the document. The print controller causes a printer to print the composite image. The composite image generator determines positions of the two-dimensional code images corresponding to the document elements so that the positions do not overlap images of the document elements.

  • Patent number: 8797619
Abstract: An image processing apparatus combines a background image, handwritten image, and a standard image. A reference image acquired by increasing the luminance value of the background image and the standard image is printed on a recording sheet. A recording sheet is read after being filled in, and a region whose luminance value is lower than a predetermined threshold value and a region indicated by standard image mask data are extracted. The extracted regions are combined with the background image and printed. In particular, the standard image mask data indicates a region in the standard image which is easily affected by a background color of a paper, so that color adjustment is performed on the region in the extracted image which is indicated by the mask data. As a result, the region in the standard image is prevented from being affected by the background color of the recording sheet in the combined result, and the images can be combined and printed according to the original color of the standard image.
