  • Patent number: 10265831
Abstract: Methods for manufacturing a rotational non-axisymmetric lens which is manufactured by grinding using a machining tool, manufacturing a molding die for the lens, manufacturing a rotational non-axisymmetric mirror, and manufacturing a molding die for the mirror are provided. The provided methods are methods for manufacturing a rotational non-axisymmetric lens partially including a non-axisymmetric surface, manufacturing a molding die for the lens, manufacturing a rotational non-axisymmetric mirror partially including a non-axisymmetric surface, and manufacturing a molding die for the mirror. When a rotational non-axisymmetric surface is formed while scanning a surface of a workpiece by grinding or cutting means, the rotational non-axisymmetric surface is ground or cut by the grinding or cutting means while scanning the surface with movement in a direction along a meridional surface of the rotational non-axisymmetric surface.

  • Patent number: 6873459
Abstract: An image transferring device is disclosed having a support plate, a reflective plate and a core member adapted to support the support plate and reflective plate thereon. The core member includes an operative position stop member and a storage position stop member for each of the support plate and reflective plate. The support and reflective plates are angularly rotatably about the core member and each plate's angular rotation is restricted between the operative position stop member and the storage position stop member. In an operating configuration, the support plate is automatically positioned at a specified angle with respect to the reflective plate. In a storage configuration, the plates fold toward each other for easy storage.

  • Publication number: 20030112534
Abstract: An optical, image producing device of the Camera Lucidas type is provided wherein the panel on which the optical image is superimposed may be supported at different angles of inclination on a base, to which a mirror assembly carrying column is rigidly attached, so that the inclination of the panel can be adjusted allowing the device to be used tilted to observe an object at different elevations. The column has a viewing aperture which is wide enough for an image to be viewed simultaneously by both eyes to give a panoramic view.

  • Patent number: 6572298
Abstract: A uniquely designed optical lens tracing pen in conjunction with a specifically designed tracing template to render a consistent method of measure with respect to the outermost ridge of a traced optical lens. The lens is traced utilizing the specifically designed invention pen, and scanned into a software system which retrieves the traced image and plots a lens shape based upon a calculated distance between first color template axis indicators and a second color pen tracing.

  • Patent number: 6476965
Abstract: The invention relates to an article, useful as a dry erasable substrate and projection screen, comprising a top layer which is dry erasable and whose surface has a 60° gloss of less than about 60. The article provides a projection surface which has low gloss and therefore causes little eye strain and viewer fatigue. The dry erase board provides good write/rewrite characteristics, erasability, including wet erasability and has good image projection. The article may additionally have one or more of layers which include a pressure sensitive adhesive, support layer, a pigmented layer which is a pressure sensitive adhesive or a pigmented polymer or polymer blend, and a back coat which is optionally pigmented.

  • Patent number: 5751477
Abstract: A transferring device is disclosed consisting of a plate for supporting an original paper, a transparent window plate for reflecting an image of the original paper and which is supported on the supporting plate, a base plate supporting the supporting plate and window plate and mechanism for erecting the supporting plate and the window plate at predetermined angles wherein a pattern of the original paper is transferred onto a paper located on the rear face of the window plate by tracing the reflected image from the front face of the window. The supporting plate, the window plate and the base plate are connected through hinges permitting opening and closing, respectively. The window plate and the base plate are provided with a first engaging mechanism for erecting the supporting plate at a predetermined angle with respect to the base plate. The window plate and the base plate are provided with a second engaging mechanism for erecting the window plate at a predetermined angle with respect to the base plate.

  • Patent number: 4912565
Abstract: In an image recording system the size of recording pixels (7) is not necessarily an integer multiple of the size of original pixel (2). A plurality of original images are combined to produce a recorded image based on the combination of the original pixels. In the process, the spatial relationship between the respective pixel arrangements of an original pixel array and a recording pixel array is detected. Based on that spatial relationship, a plurality of original pixels which surround each recorded pixel are specified and the pixel image data for the specified original pixels are interpolated to obtain each datum in the recorded pixels. This interpolation process is carried out for all recording pixels except for those recording pixels in which there is detected to occur a combination boundary of the original images.
