Pedal Mounted Patents (Class 359/521)
  • Patent number: 10363990
Abstract: A bicycle pedal assembly with transposable mounting capabilities, comprised of two pedal blocks with a protruding heel triangle, sandwiched together to form two double-sided pockets and a clearance hole, wherein each of the two double-sided pockets houses a ball bearing, with the clearance hole housing a bolt, acting in conjunction with said ball bearings as the pedal's spindle, attachable to the a crank arm of a bicycle, whereby during the process of riding a bicycle, a cyclist may use the protruding heel triangle to make contact with the heel of his/her shoe, changing the stresses applicable on the cyclist's foot and ligaments, thereby generating various health-related benefits, including but not limited to reduction of stress on the lower back muscles, decrease of hip bone abnormalities, strengthening of the gluteal and the hamstring muscles, and reduced chances of injury to metatarsal bones.

Abstract: A blow molded toy cycle has a female bearing area with tapered and recess sections. A fork has a corresponding male bearing area that includes a tapered section and an annular protrusion section. A protrusion spaced at a distance from the annular protrusion extends from the shaft and has a surface to contact a top surface of the body to secure the fork when the male and female bearing areas are in contact. The fork has integrally formed tabs that to bend around an axle to form a bearing area for the axle that allows the axle to rotate within the fork. A blow molded pedal attaches to a section of the axle and has a series of ribs disposed between side sections to form a bearing area that allows the pedal to rotate around the axle. Two rear and one front wheels attach to the body and fork respectively.

  • Patent number: 7587463
Abstract: A main controller sends a “rewrite mode” command to an engine controller. Receiving the command, the engine controller 12 sends a “roger” status. This switches the mode from a print mode to a rewrite mode. In the rewrite mode, the engine controller 12 serves as a master and the main controller 11 serves as a slave, a communication which is necessary for rewriting of firmware takes place between the two, and the firmware is rewritten.

  • Publication number: 20030021027
Abstract: An optical switching system is disclosed which can achieve high speed optical switching with a simple configuration. Light from a light irradiation section is irradiated into an optical transmission line made of a material having a nonlinear optical effect and disposed on the upstream side with respect to an optical switch provided for performing switching of a transmission line to cause the nonlinear optical effect to occur. Thereupon, light is emitted externally from the optical transmission line by the nonlinear optical effect between the light irradiated by the light irradiation section and light propagating in the optical transmission line. The light emitted is received by a light reception section to acquire intensity information of the light propagating in the optical transmission line. The intensity information is used as driving signal for driving the optical switch.
