Abstract: This invention relates to a rotating heliograph with arched convex reflective mirror surfaces that provides an autonomous continuous flashing visual signal from the reflection of the Sun, that can be used for many applications such as a survival distress signal, drone (UAV) anti-collision/tracking, and as a bird deterrent.
Abstract: A collapsible land-based multi-directional signal assembly includes a signal display assembly having one or more display surface, and at least one signal indicia affixed to each display surface. A collapsible land-based collapsible multi-directional signal assembly includes a multi-directional signal display assembly comprising a plurality of signal display panels. Each of the plurality of signal display panels comprising at least one display surface, and a plurality of signal indicia are affixed onto different ones of each of the plurality of display surfaces. A signal support assembly is provided such that the collapsible land-based multi-directional signal display assembly is disposable into a deployed orientation about the signal support member.
Abstract: Low-pass filtering is applied only to the borders of an original mage to reduce the noise in the borders of image, thereby preventing errors in extrapolation. Then, an extended region is provided around the image by extrapolation, thereby eliminating the need for border processing in the borders of the image when performing the final low-pass filtering. Finally, low-pass filtering is applied to the regions where the original image exists. Thus, a filtering effect can be obtained in which the regions nearer to the center of the image and the border regions of the image have the same characteristics.
Abstract: A safety signal kit includes a hub and a plurality of vanes selectively mounted on the hub. The hub is selectively mounted on a first end of a shaft. A second end of the shaft is selectively secured to a base. The base can be an elongated body having a socket located adjacent a first end thereof and a recess located adjacent a second end thereof. The socket is adapted to hold the shaft second end. The recess is adapted to accommodate a portion of a window of a vehicle. Alternatively, the base can include a support member having a socket for accommodating the shaft second end and a housing into which the support member can be slid. Fasteners would then be used to secure the housing to an associated structure such as a roadside barricade or the like.
Abstract: A reflective warning device for vehicles includes a body having a rim, the rim has a reflective outer peripheral surface, a number of spokes are extended radially in the body, the body is rotatably coupled to the vehicle, the reflective light of the body can be seen from various directions when the body moves relative to the wind.
Abstract: A light transmissive, including reflective and refractive visual warning device for attachment from the handle grips of a bicycle or motorcycle, to indicate the presence of the user to car drivers, is carried upon a short flexible suspension means, such as a pigtail or a ball chain or rotatable connector, permitting unrestricted motion and displacement, by which in the case of the ball chain or other rotatable connector permits spinning and other displacements due to motion. The device, preferably in the form of a double-faced triangle or multi-faced planar or curved fin shape may have one reflective face of reflective microspheres or retro-reflective micro-prisms and the other a holographic metallized mirror having an arrangement of multi-faceted reflective patterns possessing light refractive characteristics. One embodiment comprises a bicycle handgrip incorporating a wind-driven spinner rotatably mounted in the rear end of the grip, and having at least one light reflective, rotatable surface.
Abstract: A reflector includes a rotor disk rotatably mounted on a bike spoke having two semi-circular blades respectively formed on two surfaces of the rotor disk for driving a rotation of the rotor disk when subjected to a wind force when driving a bike, and having a retroreflective surface and a light-absorptive surface respectively formed on two opposite surfaces of the rotor disk for producing a flashing operation when rotating the disk, thereby providing a dynamic flashing reflector on a bike or the like for traffic warning or interesting purpose.
Abstract: A device for attracting the attention of an observer having first and second pairs of arms mounted on a body at different elevations and at right angles to each other with air scoops and light reflectors on each of the arms so that the motion of air relative to the device will produce flashes of light alternately in the planes of the first and second pairs of arms.
