Abstract: The present invention provides a magnetic disk inspection method and its system suitable to supply magnetic disks stored in a cassette to a plurality of inspection devices and collects inspected magnetic disks from the inspection devices. The cassette in which uninspected magnetic disks are stored is taken out from a cassette housing unit and transferred to any one of a plurality of optical inspection units. The optical disk inspection unit to which the cassette with the uninspected magnetic disks stored therein is transferred, takes out an uninspected magnetic disk and inspects both surfaces thereof. The magnetic disk whose both surfaces are inspected and which is determined as a non-defective product is stored in a cassette for collecting non-defective magnetic disks. The cassette is transferred from the optical inspection unit to the cassette housing unit. The transferred cassette is housed in the cassette housing unit.

Abstract: A locked warning apparatus used for a handle of a hard disk drive bracket is described. The locked warning apparatus includes a locking base, a locking device, an upper cover assembly, and a pressing unit. The locking base has a clasping portion and an elastic protrusion. The locking device has a blocking portion. The clasping portion of the locking base is fastened to the locking device in a form of line-surface interface contact. The blocking portion reciprocates a back and forth motion on the elastic protrusion of the locking base to allow the locking device to retain either a lock status or an unlock status correspondingly. When the locking device retains the lock status, the locking device buckles the upper cover assembly. When the locking device retains the unlock status, the upper cover assembly can be ejected from the locking base by pushing the pressing unit.

Abstract: When a medium casing is properly inserted, a first pair of projections and a second pair of projections are passed through between a first bottom surface and a second bottom surface of a chassis in the moving direction and are thus prevented from coming into contact with the first and second bottom surfaces, thereby allowing for smooth insertion of the medium casing. In contrast, when the medium casing is inserted improperly from its wrong end, one of the projections on the lower surface of the medium casing comes into abutment with the second bottom surface of the chassis near the opening. Accordingly, an improperly inserted medium casing can be prevented from being inserted any further at an early stage of the insertion process.

Abstract: A magnetic recording medium comprises a nonmagnetic substrate on which is disposed at least a vertical magnetic layer. The vertical magnetic layer comprises at least three layers including a lower layer, an intermediate layer and an upper layer from the substrate side. The lower, intermediate and upper magnetic layers are bound by ferro-coupling and are constituted of magnetic particles which are columnar crystals extending continuously from the lower layer to the upper layer. A nonmagnetic layer is between the lower and intermediate magnetic layers or between the intermediate and upper magnetic layers. The upper layer has a magnetic anisotropic constant (Ku) from 0.8×106 to 4×106 (erg/cc), the intermediate layer has a magnetic anisotropic constant (Ku) from 2×106 to 7×106 (erg/cc) and the lower layer has a magnetic anisotropic constant (Ku) from 1×106 to 4×106 (erg/cc).
