A busbar is positioned in the circuit-breaker section for distributing a phase of emergency current to a plurality of emergency circuit breakers coupled thereto. A plurality of automatic load control relays is positioned in the relay section. Each of the relays is electrically connected to a respective one of the plurality of emergency circuit breakers for distributing the phase of emergency current to a respective load.

The front and rear legs insure that the chassis is off the ground to permit air to flow under the chassis and into vents to cool the chassis during use of the portable electrical distribution enclosure. There is also a high density polyethylene top with at least one handle. The high density polyethylene can withstand high impacts or collateral damage from surrounding environment, weather, or marine applications. Additionally, it is lightweight and nonconductive.

    Abstract: An electrical enclosure is made of a thermoplastic material such as a polycarbonate material. The enclosure includes a box and a lid hinged to the box along its back edge. A top edge of the box and a bottom edge of the lid are shaped to engage and hold a resilient seal when the lid is closed. The lid may be moved between an open position and a closed position. The lid is held in the closed position by a tongue and dog fastener arrangement. One of the lid and box has a dog that projects from the front edge of the box while a resilient tongue projects from the other of the box and lid. The tongue has an opening that receives the dog when the lid is closed in order to hold the lid closed. An extension of the tongue projects past the opening and at an angle to create a space for manual engagement to pry the tongue away from the dog when it is required to open the box.

In a preferred embodiment, the housing has opposed halves which close about the device plug. A pigtail line cord extends from the housing and provides power through the switch, to the device plug. The housing itself is featureless, and the transmitter is an inconspicuous, pocketable, push-button device, so the TV or other device may be controlled without physically approaching or otherwise revealing either the nature of the control mechanism or even that the operator is exercising control.
