Abstract: A self-contained photography studio apparatus for photographing at least one subject comprising means to support and spatially orient the subject to be photographed, means for illuminating said subject so as to provide uniform illumination and substantially eliminate shadows, and means for controlling the temperature on and in the vicinity of said subject, wherein each of the recited means is integral, and a method for using the apparatus.

Abstract: An improved lighting apparatus is disclosed for illuminating the interior of a refrigerated display case which uses in combination a unique configuration of a main lighting unit behind the cornice as well as an illumination device under the front edge of each shelf wherein each shelf includes a lightrace extending longitudinally adjacent the front edge thereof for retaining the power supply wires therein and wherein the electrical power is supplied to the lighting means through a one-piece end plug electrical coupling designed to seal the end of the lightrace while simultaneously providing electrical connection to a mounting fixture for a fluorescent lamp. The mounting fixture preferably includes a means for mounting of the lamp therein as well as a coupling adapted to engage the electrical coupling of the one-piece end plug electrical coupling in the end of the lightrace for facilitating powering of the shelf illumination lights.

Abstract: Apparatus for illuminating an environment which operates below normal ambient temperature, comprising one or more strands of fibre optic light transmitters which extend from within the environment to a point outside it, a light emitting first part of each fibre optic being location within said environment, and means for delivering light into a second part of said fibre optic strand or strands outside said environment.

Abstract: A pair of relatively high wattage tungsten-halogen lamps are mounted directly below a pair of spaced-apart apertures in a forward portion of a horizontal deck that separates the case into a display compartment and a utility cabinet. Forced air ventilation is provided in the utility area to cool the lamps. A ceiling mirror in the display compartment reflects the light onto the display deck. Front and rear windows disposed below and on opposite sides of the ceiling mirror lie outside of the light pathways to prevent glare. Side mirrors and a diagonal front mirror also reflect light onto the merchandise in the display area while avoiding the windows.

Abstract: Electric light fixture for the illumination of ovens of electric ranges characterized by a pot-shaped metallic mount insertable in a cut-out in an oven wall and holding a lamp socket, lamp and cover glass which can be screwed on to the front side of the fixture into said mounting and the mounting having a stop rim and holding members corresponding to the edge of the cut-out on its rearward side for the lamp socket which is held in position by resilient tabs and the light fixture being particularly characterized in that it can be mounted in position by a single person.
