  • Patent number: 11849788
Abstract: Various different embodiments of headbands are disclosed, each having a light apparatus and, in particular, a removable light apparatus that is rechargeable through a USB connection. The embodiments each has a grommet that accommodates the passing of a portion of the light apparatus therethrough for frictional fit therewith such that the light apparatus is retained in place by the frictional fit with the grommet and light is projected by the light apparatus outwardly from the grommet when the light apparatus is turned on. The embodiments of the headband differ in the structure of the body and the relationship of the grommet to the body. A preferred embodiment is formed from a cotton elastane blend and includes a pocket from within which the light apparatus is partially received by the grommet. The pocket is formed by overlapping end portions of two interior fabric panels forming the interior surface of the headband.

  • Patent number: 11064686
Abstract: It is well known that light attracts fish at night, and that any artificial fishing light attractor is preferably submersible to avoid significant amounts of light being reflected off the surface of the water. Single-use glow sticks are known to be used as submersible fishing light attractors; however, these cannot be turned off, can be used only once, and are often of relatively low intensity. The present invention provides a powered light source with an intensity higher than conventional glow sticks that may be attached to fishing lines. To achieve this, the light source is configured such that, when the light source is placed at depth, external water pressure acts to increase sealing against ingress of water.

  • Patent number: 9638391
Abstract: A nonlinear optical assembly of an alert light has two nonlinear optical halves obtained by symmetrically dividing the nonlinear optical assembly along an optical reference plane wherein each optical half has a base, which takes a nonlinear and curved form with one side thereof corresponding to the optical reference plane and having a junction surface, a light entrance portion and a light exit portion are on two opposite sides of the optical reference plane, and the two optical halves are assembled to form the nonlinear optical assembly with the junction surfaces therebetween. Given the light exit portions of the optical halves, each light entrance portion corresponds to multiple bulged portions for the nonlinear optical assembly to provide uniform lighting effect. The nonlinear optical assembly reduces molding and manufacturing requirements.

Abstract: A flashlight has a casing having a front end, a light source axially secured in the housing inward of the front end, and a two-part connecting sleeve forward of the light source and having a rear part secured in the housing and a front part. Interengaging formations couple the parts together for only limited axial movement relative to each other, but lock them rotationally and prevent axial separation beyond a predetermined limit. A lens is mounted in the front part. A head sleeve secured to the front part extends axially rearward over the front end of the casing so that relative axial movement of the front and rear parts axially shifts the lens relative to the source.
