Bulb Or Battery Physically Moved To Join Mating Contacts Of Each Other Patents (Class 362/203)
  • Patent number: 11566756
Abstract: A signaling device is disclosed comprising an electronic circuit positioned within a housing and comprising at least one LED, a light diffuser manufactured from a non-opaque material and a USB Port. Side edges of the housing each comprise a barb engaging slot therein. A cap end covering the USB port and comprising a pair of flexible fingers each comprising a barb-like feature for engaging respective ones of the barb engaging slots comprises an actuating part fabricated from a compressible rubberlike material which is secured towards a second end of each of the flexible fingers. Compressing the actuating part motivates the outer ends of the flexible fingers to move apart, thereby releasing the barb-like features from their respective barb engaging slot and allowing the cap to be removed from the housing.

  • Patent number: 9851077
Abstract: The LED lamp has a relatively long, narrow configuration similar to that of CFL bulbs. Because the lamp operates at relatively high power and produces significant lumens, a significant amount of heat is generated by the LED assembly. The interior envelope of the lamp, defined in traditional CFL bulbs by the fluorescent tubes, is used to house a heat sink having a shape and dimensions to fit inside of the form factor of the CFL tubes. The heat sink substantially fills the interior space of the optically transmissive enclosure in order to provide maximum surface area for dissipating heat from the LEDs. A plurality of fins may extend from the heat sink to the exterior of the lamp to dissipate heat from the LEDs to the ambient environment.

  • Patent number: 6908209
Abstract: A miniaturized flashlight activated by external pressure by a push stem at one end of its casing, to energize its lamp. The flashlight includes a casing, for holding one or more batteries, and a front cap for holding a lamp contained within the casing, a resilient sleeve that engages the lamp, and likewise engages the front of the located battery, so as to provide for displacement of the lamp from the battery terminal during non-usage, but once the battery is urged forwardly, through pushing of its push stem, provides for illumination of the lamp, as it extends through the front cap for the battery. A rear end cap, just like the front cap, resiliently binds upon the back of the flashlight casing, to hold the light assembled, and a push stem extends through the back of the rear cap, readily available for physical manipulation forwardly to illuminate the light, during usage.

Abstract: A portable, battery-operated flashlight having improved pivoting, switching and focusing features is disclosed. In one aspect of the invention, the flashlight takes the form of an attachment to a head gear for hands free use. In another aspect of the invention, the flashlight takes the form of a head lamp held in place on an user's head by an elastic band. The pivot connection between the body and the base, as well as the serrations on an exterior surface of the body, allows a user to adjust any angular direction of the light as desired. In another aspect of the invention, the flashlight takes the form of a long-handled flashlight having improved switching and focusing capabilities, such that axial movement of the switching assembly turns the flashlight “on” or “off”, as well as causing a position of the lamp to vary in order to focus or defocus the light.
