With Means To Position Plural Light Sources Colinearly Patents (Class 362/219)
  • Patent number: 11592171
Abstract: A method for making continuous encapsulated linear lighting is disclosed. In this method, a PCB is placed within a channel, and the channel is dammed by one or more stoppers. The dammed segment is filled and then caused or allowed to cure. The stoppers are then removed from their initial positions and moved along the channel. If one runs out of channel before the desired length of linear lighting is achieved, a second piece of channel is abutted to the previous segment of channel, the PCB is laid into it, and a segment is dammed, filled, and cured. The process continues iteratively until the desired length is achieved or more channel is required. The PCB may initially be cut to the full desired length and applied to the channel piecewise as needed.

  • Patent number: 10390400
Abstract: A soft start circuit device couples at the junction between a 0-10 volt DC dimmer and an LED driver. A first wire couples with the positive polarity dimmer output, and a second wire couples with the negative polarity dimmer output. A capsule provides electrical insulation and physical consolidation and isolation to the capsule interior, and the first and second wires each pass through the capsule wall into the capsule interior. A capacitor and resistor are retained in the capsule interior and are each electrically coupled in parallel across the first and second wires. A sealant fills the capsule interior. At least one indicium is affixed with each wire, to indicate proper polarity connection with the 0-10 volt DC dimmer output. The capsule may further comprise a generally cylindrical and light transmissive polycarbonate packaging tube, and first and second end caps. The sealant may also comprise a light transmissive silicone sealant.

  • Patent number: 10208933
Abstract: An adjustable light fixture and lighting system are selectively adjustable in the field and provide even light distribution across a space. A housing is selectively adjustable to a selected housing length and is mountable to the surface. A tray mountable to the housing includes plates which are selectively adjustable relative to one another to a selected tray length. Each plate includes a plurality of electroluminescent light sources providing uniformly luminous light across the light fixture. Overlap of plates varies the tray length and blocks light from light sources on one plate by the opposite plate. Evenly distributed light is therefore provided with no bright or dark spots. A lighting system of a plurality of light fixtures electrically connected to one another includes at least one adjustable light fixture, and preferably at least one stationary light fixture of fixed length. Methods of installation are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10072827
Abstract: A lighting fixture can be configured to display reduced visibility of seams and hardware when illuminated. At the junction site between lighting modules of a modular lighting assembly, support hardware can be positioned within corresponding recesses in the respective coupling ends of the connected lighting modules. An outer element can also be wrapped around the respective outer edges of the coupling ends and partially into the junction site adjacent to the support hardware. Connective seams between the wrapped outer edges and support hardware at the junction between lighting modules can thus be de-emphasized when adjacent lighting elements are activated. Multiple, different shaped modules can be combined to create light fixtures of different shapes.
