Further, the lamp housing has a plurality of receiving holes around its outer periphery and a lamp housing rib around its inner periphery. In this embodiment, a sealant is placed on the lamp housing and the plastic stakes are inserted into the receiving holes so that the lens rib and lamp housing rib form a seal channel to contain the sealant and the lens is flush with the lamp housing. A heat source is then used to heat treat the plastic stakes to form a plurality of mushroom caps that act to attach the lens to the lamp housing.

The housing is closed at both ends to seal the slot and prevent ingress of dirt or fluid. In a modification the housing is compressed with the insert in place to reduce the height of the track and optionally to provide the track with anti-slip characteristics.

When the zippered casing is opened, the optical fibers may be bent outwardly therefrom and spread apart to lie along branches of a tree in which the lighting system is used. A source of light is applied to the bottom end of the optical fibers at the base of the tree.

The compressible portion may be fire retardant and provide electrical insulation, and the surface portion can be manufactured in any desired color, thus providing an esthetically pleasing appearance to the installed track lighting system.

Each extending leg includes a perpendicularly aligned foot that, during assembly, is placed inside the gap between the edge of the faceplate and the glass and extends outward to prevent disengagement of the cage from the faceplate. Attached to each foot on the top and bottom frame members is a C-shaped clip which engages a raised lip formed on the inside surface of the faceplate. The lips prevent the cage from being removed from the work light without a tool, thus meeting United Laboratories code.

The link has a lip that inserts into the apertures in the shuttle and the shuttle guide to releasably hold the shuttle in the up position. The shuttle has tabs on an upper end of its back side to keep the shuttle from dislodging from the shuttle guide.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for fastening a screw between a vehicular lighting device body and lens is provided, in which there is no possibility that a seal material drips out. A lamp body is held by the lower jig so that a seal groove is directed upward, and a front lens is held by an upper jig so that a seal leg is directed downward. The upper jig is lowered from a position above the lamp body and pressed together therewith, so that the seal groove and the seal leg are engaged together via a seal material. A fastening screw is positioned beneath the lamp body (seal groove) with the fastening screw directed upward by a screw fastener element located within a lower portion of the lower jig. The lamp body (seal groove) and the front lens (seal leg) are pressed and secured by the screw. No seal material drips out from the seal groove in the process. Further, the time required for pressing together and fastening the lamp body to the front lens can be shortened.
